Nobody is saying any different from that artical , all the crying tw@ts on here can't accept that we have been sh!te so far this season . Not good , not a little bit good , not ok , just sh.it . We've been sh.ite and that's all there is to it . We need to improve and sharpish , we need to be playing football to win games don't we . THAT'S WHY THE LAST MANAGER WAS SACKED WASN'T IT AND THAT WHY WE APPOINTED THIS MANAGER WASN'T .TO IMPROVE THE TEAM AND TO IMPROVE ON LAST YEAR . All that's being said is that it's not happening so far and it doesn't look like happening either . Can we take any encouragement from our performances so far ? NO . Will we improve in time ? Well were going to have to aren't we or we are in the sh.ite . Do i give two f.ucks really who are manager is in the grand scheme of things ? DO I F.UCK .

I know its questions that really cant be answered Bob and we just have to knuckle down and see how it goes - im just not optomistic at the moment - if we had played really well but still ended up with the same amount of points then there would of been something to grab hold of at the moment . I just dont want to see us so far behind so early .

You are like a little dog yapping at the moon. Your questions are pointless and only serve to confirm that you are so frustrated and angry that you are not making sense.
You ask "How long do we have to wait?" The answer is you dont. You have the freedom of choice to stop supporting (if thats what youre doing) and be happy. You are obviously very unhappy and I cant really see an alternative other than this.
I cant say it any clearer: Benitez has gone. Roy is manager now. He will be for this season at least. You have to accept it and move on. There is absolutely no point whatsoever in criticising someone who is doing the most difficult job in Football. None.

No mate it isnt. We were dire yestrday but at least we didnt lose. The players looked like england in the world cup. Roy looked like fabio: as if he didnt know what was going on. Funny how Gerrard plays a blinder for england in the qualifiers the plays like a tw@t for us yesterday. I wonder why that is?

Coz he didnt have Lucas behind him playing for England!..

As soon as Meireles came on Gerrard came to life.

Reina makes some fair points but Im not buying the ownership situation as an excuse for below par performances. End of the day these lads are paid to do a job and keeping fit and kicking a ball is all they have to contend with.

There is no doubt its a time of transition and we have to accept that but the only thing I have an argument with is the underlying phylosiphy of cagey football that still seems to be at the root of our problems. Our away form is shambolic and consider that even Blackpool have managed two victories on the road already, and why? a positive approach. I just hope we see a change in attitude once we get our best side out there and start putting teams on the back foot for once.

That's the crux of the discussion right there.  I'm fully prepared to admit that it isn't really clicking so far (although I don't think it's been nearly as dire as some are suggesting).  But the real issue is the prospect for the future.  Will we improve?  We absolutely will.  I'd put my mortgage on it.  Why?

1) Because virtually every player can perform better than they have been so far this season and so I back them to do so

2) Because new players like Cole and Meireles are yet to properly feature and I back them to improve us in a big way very soon

3) Because, as Reina says, the lads are still getting used to the new manager and the new set-up so we can expect to see more cohesion as time goes on

You know, there were times under Rafa when we hit a proper bad patch and looked like we couldn't win for love nor money and I felt the exact same thing then as I do now.  Be patient, give it time and the lads will turn things around.  We still have some class in our side and the old adage remains true: form is temporary, class is permanent.  Will we improve?  100% certainty.  :nod

It's too soon to make rash judgements about Hodgson but my guess is that he won't do enough to warrant serving out the full three years of his contract. I think he's just a bit more than a caretaker I can't see him being long term.

I got an idea for you - stop bringing up Rafa - he is no longer manager now - that excuse has sailed now - its all up to our current manager Hodgson . Its Hodgson team now and its his tactics and his formations so its all up to him - no more rafa talk - can you manage that

Classic
My better half does things like that when shes wrong.
What is it you enjoy about being negative? What pleasure do you get from being miserable? Is positive thinking so obscene to you that you fight it with all your might in order to wallow in your woes?
Just curious...
