fantastic signing but one which ultimately throws up the age old debate of what to do with gerrard again. :D

ultimately i think we'll see gerrard on the right of a three behind torres with keane in the middle and babel on the left. however i wouldn't be surprised to see gerrard and keane interchanging positions a lot during matches.

i hope thats the case as it will utilise Keane and Stevie wonderfully, a interchangeable 3 behind torres.

As a Tallaght boy meself, I'm delighted for Robbie that has signed for the side he supported in his youth. But, to me (and Rafa) he's a second fiddle to David Villa who I think would have been great up front with Torres.

20+ million for Robbie though is mad money IMHO, just like 18 mil for Barry is a farce. Keane's always been strong for Spurs, but he disappears for the National side quite often. I know that's no guage for the premiership, but it's still a worry.

I still can't wait to see how the pair (Torres & Keane) flesh out during the season.

Pretty impressive for your first/second post, can't disagree with any of it.

The comment on Keane disappearing for the National side, must be a lot easier when you have multimillions worth of players along side you and you play with them week in, week out. England players have a lot less of an excuse

How patronising is that statement? Do new posters need 100 posts before talking any sense?

I think Villa is better than Keane, specially when Villa play with Torres...

Can't even compliment someone on a good post without some idiot reading something negative into it.

Nearly 1500 posts in and you're still posting drivel, maybe he could coach you

Aye, your correct. The Irish national side is a pretty average affair and to give Keane his due, he has snatched a goal or two to bring them back from the brink. I still remember the goal he scored in the last minutes in the 1-1 draw against Germany in 2002. I'm sure if Ireland had another striker of quality, like Berbatov, support for Keane might be stronger....hmmmm, maybe Dimitar has an Irish grannie...might be worth looking into. :)
