Robbie fowler/cardiff city - With the forthcoming cardiff cup game

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Some were willing to put money on Fowler being top scorer in the Championship, so how is he doing?

Robbie Fowler (Cardiff 07/08)

Championship - 2 goals in 5 appearances (0.400 goals/app)
League Cup - 2 goals in 2 appearances (1.000 goals/app)

Overall - 4 goals in 7 appearances (0.571 goals/app)

Not bad, for all those who thought he was some broken down striker well past his best. He's missed three games and Cardiff are struggling a bit - a little surprisingly. Cardiff are 17th in the Championship and four points adrift of a play-off place. They're six points behind Charlton who are second (automatic promotion place)

It should be a home win, that to me is probably not necessarily a good thing as we drew the goners in the QFs last season and went out only a few days after the FA Cup 3rd round exit at home to the same opposition. So we were out of three competitions by the end of January, I hope we don't try and keep in all competitions at the expense of the Premiership (again)

I would have kept Fowler, a useful extra striker in rotation and would have been good for these cup games. And who is our penalty taker these days? (not that we're getting many, we seem to be giving them away)

Made a right decision to let fowler go...... but i can understand why people still want him here.

That is due to the strikers we have here (Kuyt, voronin and crouch)....These 3 strikers would not even be on the bench at Manure, Arsenal and even spurs... That says a lot.

Anyway as for the game...hope fowler scores a hatrick and torres scores 4 goals to give us the win 4-3..... :D
