Just want to say well done to the ref who sent off Jestrovic for racist abuse to sissoko....its bang out of order and was uncalled for and the ref done the right thing....and well done to sissoko for not responding,if u seen the game you could tell he was p1ssed off by his face but he didnt respond...a good game overall though

Anderlecht coach defends dismissed Jestrovic

LIVERPOOL, England, Nov 1 (Reuters) - Anderlecht coach Frankie Vercauteren defended Nenad Jestrovic who was sent off after a verbal clash with Liverpool's Momo Sissoko on Tuesday.

The Serbian was dismissed in the 75th minute as his side lost 3-0 to Liverpool in their Group G game at Anfield.

"I can't repeat in detail in a press conference what was said but it was the type of language used fifty times in an average game," said Vercauteren.

"Sissoko said something to him (Jestrovic) and he replied in kind and he was sent off. But I think if he was sent off both players should have been sent off."

Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez said he had not spoken to Mali international Sissoko about the incident.

the referee did exactly the right thing in sending off jestrovic. perhaps more would do the same if they had the b.alls.
also the fact its heard 'fifty times' in a match makes it even more correct in resulting in a dismissal. good on nielssen.

It was pretty clear from the moment he was sent off it was for racism. There was no challenge and nothing said to the ref, Jestrovic clearly said a couple of things to Sissoko and his reaction was calm fortunately but clearly appalled.

Hehe he probably said some not so nice words to Sissoko. If you watched the game you see before that incident that Sissoko gives him a totally uncalled tackle when the ball is far from there that is what sets the jester off.

Sissoko is gonna become a great player in a few years.

It looked as though he said "F*CK YOU BLACK".

The replays seemed to show that.

Sissoko looked towards the bench with a "sigh" expression and the ref immediately turned his head towards the Anderlecht player and sent him off.

Rightly so.

Jestrovic. Did this knob-rot not realise his number 9 is black?
If I were him (the striker - name??), I'd walk straight up to Jestrovic tomorrow in training and chin the fecker. Then I'd p*ss on his head.

The problem with racism is that they really aren't bothered. CSKA Moscoa fans have been known to pelt their own black players with bananas at training sessions
