Reds new players....

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Silver » Thu Mar 09, 2006 5:42 pm

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez says he must be allowed to strengthen his squad after the Champions League exit.He needs some new players to join his team next season.

What would you advice Rafa about those new ones?

for me it is very urgent to have a right winger.
and i think these following players are itrested to me:
Barton (Man City)
Duff (Chelsea)
Dyer (Newcastel)

Good Luck

Milito and Ewerthon from Zaragoza.

18 goals for Milito this season and 17 for Ewerthon.

Barton - yes
Dyer - Too injury prone
Duff -  no chance of signing him.

RW and striker are most important IMO. It's up to Rafa but I have faith in him to bring us the right players that will deliver.

Er,

Kieron Dyer is the type of player we spent the guts of 8 years trying to get rid of.

Your English teacher should also be flayed at the pillar for his startling ineptness.

David Villa
Luca Toni

Preferably the former, he's going to be top scorer in the WC, 50/1 GET ON!

Villa would be amazing.

Duff would join us like a shot if we wanted him.The guy wants to play every match and he isnt getting that competing against Cole,Robben and SWP.This has been his worst season ever in the Premiership and its obvious to me he aint happy.

Whether Chelsea would sell him to us is a totally different question.

Mourinho has his eye on another winger so its probably curtains for either Duff or SWP.

He has his eye on one ..Ballack too.
Would love to see Duff come here..but I think it will be S.w.p shipped out for another big fee. :(

Nobody will leave Chelsea on the cheap, so unless we have an unexpected cash injection, SWP and Duff just won't happen. I think they'd rather let players rot on the bench than make a loss in the transfer market.

If we're being realistic about transfer fees, I think Yakubu and Pennant would be good solutions to our striking and right mid problems. They wouldn't be cheap, but they're proven quality in the Prem, and they're currently at teams that may find themselves needing to sell in the summer. Brum in particular, if they go down, may have to let Pennant go for a lot less than they'd like.

I dont know,Maureen is on record saying he wants a small squad of twenty two players.Bringing in a fifth winger would mean he has to sell one.
