Reds new players....

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Reinas No.1 Fan » Fri Mar 10, 2006 7:12 pm

I think we may start to see a few of our youth players poking into the first team, Paul Anderson for one has really impressed me in the reserve videos ive seen.

We have some good players coming in for next year a winger and two defenders to my count and there not costing much either, which may leave the majority of our money to go on the striker(s) we need. I like a few of the players Rafa may go for, Milito, Villa, Kuyt they are quality strikers and all have a good style of play which I believe will fit into Rafas plans well.

However there is one player I would lover to see at Liverpool and I certain roumors are true its certainly on the cards for the summer, for anyone who hasnt guessed Im talking about Michael Owen, You all no the roumors about his contact release clause thing so I wont bore you but I feel the Michael is the type of player we are missing a goal poacher some one to feed of crouch or fowler or whom ever it may be. I dont care if he left us in crappy cercumstances because bitterness is a blue nose trait.

David Villa, Joaquin (he's off form and would be cheap), and Kuijt (sp).

F*ck Shitski - we'd eat them alive with those three added to our already f*cking beefy squad. :;):

What would you advice Rafa about those new ones?

for me it is very urgent to have a right winger.
and i think these following players are itrested to me:
Barton (Man City)
Duff (Chelsea)
Dyer (Newcastel)

Good Luck

Barton and Duff aren't right sided midfielded players and Dyer is an inconsistent overated waster who hates playing in that position.

Good post. :D

barton,bullard,ashton,yakubu,pennant,swp,duff,king,defoe,carrick,teale,chimbona, etc etc

all these players have a good couple of apperances on MoTd and everyone says we should be signing them, while there are different reasons why none of the above will come the main one is that to move to liverpool seems to triple the price in any transfere deal,

Heres my predictions for summer arrivals:

Defence: Palletta

Midfield: Bullard and SWP (If we cant get SWP it will be Barton)

Strikers: Owen and Milito/Nihat

Alves or Joaquin
Owen or Defoe
Villa or Kuite
                                 Reina
Finnan              Carra             Hyypia               Rise

Joaq/Alves           Gerrard             Alonso              Kewell

                   Kuite             Defoe

Defoe for 10m
Kuite  for 12m
alves for 8m or joaquin for 12m.
Three class players all we need along with Palleta and Gonzalez coming in as well.Kuite and defoe will get 15 goals at least each, Love to see VILLA but Valencia will want silly money around 25m. We need fire power up front. I think Defoe would be deadly for us and needs regular football.

Why do we need Barton???  We already have

Gerrard
Alonso
Hamann
Sissoko

who all play centre midefield.  I don't think Barton is better than any one of those.

We should spend the money instead on someone who knows where the goal is.  Whatever cash we have, that's where it should go.  Our midfield is more then OK.

For me any of - (and in this order)

Torres
Defoe
Kuyt

Pennant, Bullard, Ashton, Yakubu and Defoe are quality and would improve our side what does MOTD have to do with anything?

Some people's comments are laughable.

I cant see what pennant bullad and ashton could add from what we already have. apparently the Simao deal is back on as well.

Yakubu would cost too much judging by his season and it looks like Defoe is on his way to the mancs.

Id take kuyt and/or villa myself and with paletta we are looking sound. maybe a lil joaquin action would still be good but i dnot wanna pay cheatski style money

Ashton would add movement, strength, link up play, goals, intelligence and quality the front line.

Pennant would give us a right winger who can cross, track back, beat a man, use pace and skill, create goals and create chances.

Bullard would give us a player who can play football on the right, who can pass, work hard, get stuck in, keep the ball, provide great crosses and set chances up.

All of which are massive improvements on what we have. Pennant and Ashton have class ability, they would stroll into our side, Bullard is a very talented player who again would stroll into our side.

Sorry dawson but Pennant has everything what we lack, he sems to be getting better every week and he would fit in great to are team, it will be a travesty if we dont sign him.

And the strikers i can see Defoe coming here and maybe Owen but it all depends on what rafa gets to spend in the summer and who he can get rid of.
