Real bloody want stevie in january :angry:  I knew Michael an becks would start throwin his name around ffs and if we arnt playin any better by january he will go im fumin why cant they get other players from other countries they have 3 english players now ffs viera change your mind an go there. Cant believe it but i knew it would happen im gutted :( I know he aint gone yet but he said abot owen when madrid come knocking u dont refuse. If he leaves we are going to be a mid table club for years to come. Hes our drive our backbone we need him at LFC and no were else.

Steven Gerrard's career statistics 
Real Madrid have made Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard their number one 2005 transfer target, according to reports in Spain.
"Gerrard is the target for Real," stated Spanish sports daily AS.

Real spent most of the summer trying to lure Arsenal's Patrick Vieira to the Bernabeu but the French midfielder opted to stay at Highbury.

The paper also said that talks to sign striker Francesco Totti had already started with his Italian club Roma.

After Euro 2004, Gerrard admitted he was ready to leave Liverpool before new manager Rafael Benitez persuaded him to stay.

Gerrard had seemed set to join Chelsea but decided to stay at Anfield.

"Everyone linked me with Chelsea and assumed that was where I was going but, to be honest, there were three or four good clubs knocking on my agent's door," said Gerrard.

Back to the drawing board with the purchase strategy I'm afraid, the manager's job is not an easy one is it!

I would be surprised if Real didn't want Gerrard. We'll just have to see. :)

If we don't show serious progress before Christmas I reckon it's inevitable that we'll lose Stevie.  By turning down Chelsea in the summer it'll be easy for him to walk away......

He'll give a press conference...state that he gave the new manager an opportunity to move in a positive direction, however Gerrard won't be happy with the way the club is moving forward and will state he wants a fresh challenge and the guarantee of champions league football every year....and thats why he'll be joining Real Madrid.

I'm sorry but if Madrid want him and if Owen and Beckham are bending his ear about the sexy football, sunshine and lovely ladies....the writing is on the wall.

Its plainly obvious he isnt happy and i hope for the lads carreer he does go. He wants to win things! lol  And have a few bob in his pocket at the end of the week. Plus-he will have 3 little english pals to play with :D
But think of the money....it should be a big fee and it will help your team building ..Hes worth 30 mill,and how many Biscans could you buy for that?
