   No,seriously, My honest opinion is -its best if he goes .It will help the new manager invest in the team and players he wants. I know most Liverpool fans would be depressed at his departure ...but when a new manager comes in ,and a major rebuilding is needed ,quite often you lose the big stars. When Fergie came to our team he Broke up the Whiteside-Robson-McGrath ok for different reasons but at thattime they were our spine.  Your fans are a patient lot and if they truly have faith in thenew manager,then Gerrards departure,if it happens will not be so bad.

My only question would be why would Real buy him in Christmas if he is cup tied (UEFA). Maybe in the summer but not before then, or it will affect his price and Rafa won't sell. If all is constant, Sven will try his hardest to get Gerrard to leave.

I don't think Gerrard will leave. He said he wanted to win medals with Liverpool when he turned down Chelsea. And of course, it's just rumours,,,,     is it?

Well he's f*cked everyone else! 

I think it will be down to if and how much the team improve under Benitez as to whether Gerrard leaves. if the team is taking shape then I think he'll stick around.
I know he turned down Chelsea but the chance to play for Real if they come calling is difficult for any player to turn down. 
Either way, I think it would  be next summer if any move was to happen.

Its plainly obvious he isnt happy and i hope for the lads carreer he does go. He wants to win things! lol  And have a few bob in his pocket at the end of the week. Plus-he will have 3 little english pals to play with
But think of the money....it should be a big fee and it will help your team building ..Hes worth 30 mill,and how many Biscans could you buy for that?

as someone stated earlier he is cup tied, so why  would they want him. But personally i wouldn't mind seeing this happen because i get to see Gerrard rebuild his career, and Liverpool get $30 mil in stuff.  Of course i wouldnt sell him for a penny under $25mil

I don't think it'll be as easy for Real to get Stevie as people are suggesting.

For one thing, he's clearly in love with LFC. LFC have brought him on to the point where Becks is one or two poor games away from losing the England captaincy to him, so from a career standpoint any move away will put all of that in jeopardy.

And another thing, LFC are at least trying to get to the point where they're as big a draw in the transfer market as Real and Man U are. After the Owen deal, and with the new stadium on the horizon, our absolute priority is to do good work in the Champion's League and get money in the bank so that we are a club capable of competing with anyone in the transfer market. We're potentially one good season away from being an absolutely awesome proposition, both in terms of being a buying club and in terms of challenging for major honours on all fronts.

Getting Benitez was a massive coup. Getting Stevie to stay was a massive coup. Getting Alonso for the money paid was a massive coup.

He's cup-tied for the season, which makes both Real a seriously unattractive proposition for him in January if LFC are doing well, and Gerrard an unattractive proposition for Real as they won't be able to show off their purchase on the European stage for the best part of a year.
