Let us know what the players say, and whoever on the board that was who predicted they would win 3-0 tonight and 2-1 at Anfield.  I hate it when teams trash talk rubbish.

Well, to be honest, that´s inherent to the spanish character mate, we think we are the best and the next morning we are cr.ap.

It´s our character.

Great result sets up another "magic" night at Anfield (can't wait). I knew this would be right up Rafa's street, games like this are made for his tactical know-how. Thought the back four were excellent they kept one of the best players in champions league history Rual to a mere spectator. Alonso and Mascha did what had to be done. Shame about Torres getting a knock lets hope it ain't serious and the only real dampner on the night was that we only had Babel to replace Torres he was on 30+ minutes and he did nothing. Benny took his goal well a quality free kick helped. Kuyt was good as well and did well to buy the foul for the free kick.
All in all mission accomplished.

Well, in fairness to Whelan, it wasn't the most exciting game of football for the most part was it?

That depends on how much you like football. If you only like association football, yes, it wasn't exciting.

If you have a broader taste for football, that was a top game.

Well, fair enough. I was a better match than the Utd v Inter game last night anyway.

I don't know, I didn't watch it, but probably it was a game like the ones of Calcio, tough one, tactical one, not very exciting from an English point of view.

But this is like music, the fact you don't like Rock music and you like Pop music doesn't mean Rock is shíte.

It's completely understandable some fans enjoy a type of football more than others, and perhaps it's one of the reasons why sometimes I come to this forum thinking we did a serious game and I'm happy with my 1-0, where as others think we were too negative. A matter of tastes. I'm a football nut and I like almost any kind of style as long as it's well done.

ummm.......well, you can like rock music, but some of it can be boring. Likewise, you can like certain rock bands, but some of their albums/songs can be boring too.

I am more than happy with a 1-0 tonight. Would have been ok with a 0-0. So, I am made up.

Rafa ALWAYS pulls a big one out of the bag in Europe when we are struggling on the homefront :D

Consumate European performance. We are the best in the business when it comes to that type of display.

What's that now? Wins in the;

San Siro
Nou Camp
Bernabau

Aren't they the three toughest places to play in Europe?

A lot of :censored:.

Especially that bunch of madridist journalists from Madrid city that walk to the TV programs with the Madrid pin on the jacket.

That why Spain is one half Madridist and the other half anti madridist.

Sorry this english.

Are you for f'ucking REAL ?

Here we go again, a top result and immediately we have the "maybe it's easier to win in Europe" fanfare.

Lets not celebrate a win against one of Europe's on form legendary teams in their own back yard , nah  :no  f'uck that , lets just p'iss on the celebration and decide that winning in europe is so easy.

Always figured you were a :censored:, nice at least to have it confirmed.
