Can I just start by saying what a breath of fresh air this lad is.Ok Benitez didnt want to play him against Birmingham because he wouldnt be able to supposedly get behind their defence, but this lad relies a lot more than just pace to his game.

I have been really impressed with his movement off the ball we havent seen a striker with such good movement off the ball since dare i say it Ian Rush and frankly he showed us how ordinary Peter Crouch is tonight because you look at the two of them and their is no comparison what so ever, their is a gulf in class and his pace makes crouch look like one of the old dears getting her pension.

We havent had a striker in his class for us since Owen and Fowler n his prime,I know this is premature
but i think he could well DO better than those two.

WE AT LAST HAVE A STRIKER WORTHY OF OF OUR CLUB!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just going to have to accept it mate have a rant and rave, he is set in his ways, he believes in what is right and what is wrong, I dont know why Arbeloa is the first name on every team sheet and I dont know why Torres gets dropped.
Arbeloa the only player to play for Liverpool in all games this season who would have guessed?

Arbeloa has played every game this season because he is very versatile and a lot better defender than Riise will ever be :buttrock

Rafa is the ultimate trickster. He should come out dressed like the Riddler from Batman. Honest to God, the man baffles me at times.

Catch 22 situation here: play Torres and come under stick for chosing to start him this game over the past two far more important Premiership games; or not play him and potentially lose this game and come under even more stick? I dunno.

One thing's for sure, he was a world apart from any other player on the pitch earlier. What's that now? Six goals? I'm thinking had he played those other two games, he might be on 7, 8 or even 9? That's almost half the tally predicted that he should get all season, already. Keep it up, son. Yer class!

To mention about the match - it was a weird game to say the least. The ref was in the typical role we're all used to now playing the c*nt! Gave us sweet FA all game, and didn't want to give us a pen and sent that tw@t off (second yellow) who'd been hacking Torres all game. I had to laugh at the Reading defence, though. Looked as if they set out to deliberately hack, harass and hustel Torres from the outset, and what's he end up doing? Score a hatrick anyway. Good job, lads!  :eyebrow

Happy that Torres scored his first ever hat-trick, and in our shirt! Sign he's improving already.

And PLEASE, for the love of God, Rafa - PLAY TORRES in our next run of league matches!

Woo - that was reading away. A tricky place to go - we werent convincing but as long as torres stayed on the pitch there was always gonna be one winner.

I am genuinely excited - saw most of the game and torres looked like he could have played another 90minutes. He seems to enjoy getting lumps kicked out of him.

4 attempts. 3 on target. 3 goals !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And a right gung-ho rant between to "Play Torres" brigade and the "Rafa can do no wrong" brigade.
:p
