what you think rafas opinion is...who is top dog and who is bottom in the pecking order?

What i hope this will prove is that Rafa is definatley underating the qualities of a fit and sharp peter crouch and i believe defenders would have most nightmares about playing against torres and crouch because pace and height cause more problems than the dirk kuyt type striker

mine.

1. Torres
2. Crouch
3. Kuyt
4. Voronin

Rafas

1. Torres
2. kuyt
3. Voronin
4. Crouch

I believe crouch - torres should be our first team strikeforce because with those two you have the option of going over the top, or lofted balls up to crouch

both cause problems

if i was a defender i would love playing against kuyt, who offers no pace or no height and power

LFC Strikers i rate

1)Torres

2)Gerrard - yeah...i rate him as the 2nd best striker.. that says a lot for the strikers we have at this club

3)Crouch - At least he is a goal threat... He can miss sitters and all but he does score goals (at the highest levels too)

4)Babel - Hope Rafa, plays him as a striker.....we don't want another cisse.

intresting view rock

i think crouch is being so underused this season, a man like him causes problems whether you like him or not...i think crouch vs the poor teams is much more effective than kuyt or voronin vs the poorer teams

just said on another thread that i wish cisse was still here

ok he lacks composure but he has more match-winning potential than kuyt or voronin, he believes hes the best striker in the world and wants goals.....i dont get the feeling kuyt wants goals

OK. Here's where i take my slice of humble pie.

I closed the thread initially due to the overall theme of it sounding a little repetitive, in terms of the copious variations on the very same discussion over the last weeks in countless threads.

However, iam prepared to accept that ive acted a little hastiliy in this case and therefore wish to offer an apology in public (don't give a to$$ how that looks btw) I genuinely mean it. To LittleHobo - the thread creator.

Partly due to the fact that he took the original admonishment in such good grace...and secondly, maybe there is a case to debate this subject in its own thread.

So, without further ado - iam re-opening the topic for the deliberation of all concerned. And once again, offer my apologies for shooting from the hip a little bit too wildly.

Red.

My top striking order would be:

1:Torres
2:Crouch
3:Gerrard
4:Voronin
5:Babel

Rafa's favoured order IMO:
1:Torres
2:Kuyt
3:Voronin
4:Crouch
5:Gerrard

I think we all pretty much agree on what Rafa's order would be. Myself I just don't see what Kuyt is bringing to the team at the moment, he is a workhorse but there's no point having a workhorse if there's no end product.
In the first couple of matches there looked to be a good understanding developing between Torres and Voronin but I do think that Voronin could be easily marked out of league games at times.
Crouch hasn't looked at his best so far this season but that is understandable with him being in and out (mostly out) of the team and we all know he's very ineffective coming off the bench. I'd like to see Babel given a go up front as he likes to get shots off and he could be that sort of pacey battering ram that you sometimes need up front.

1.  Torres by a country mile
2.  Babel
3.  Crouch
4.  Voronin
5.  Kuyt

As I've said before Im very disappointed with Kuyts lack of goals or threat up front.  I don't think any of the the others are providing enough threat.  Babel is the man to play with Torres, he never looks comfortable out wide.  I would like Rafa to bring in another quality striker, just not convinced we have got enough va va voom up top.

1. Torres - Has adapted well thus far. Needs a prolonged run of games. Will be vunerable to getting kicked off the pitch. No chance of Prem refs protecting him. Very quick and strong.

2. Kuyt - Hard worker. Always causing problems for the opposition. Lack of speed is a concern but working with Torres may cover that.

3. Crouch- Has done a superb job so far. Scored many goals. But has not added the much needed muscle mass to give him extra power. His heading is too inaccurate and he has no speed to speak of. On the plus side though, his footwork is excellent and he always works hard.

4. Voronin - Decent striker. Quite strong and always capable. A good signing who we may get two years out of. Has been OK so far.
