Gotta applaud talent.  Mate, if I was you, I'd be getting a website set up.  You see people making money on other LFC websites off their LFC paintings etc... and yours are the best I've seen by a clear distance, and I've only seen three.  This one is my new favourite.

With that talent you have you won't be unemployed in all your life time. Knock the correct doors and you'll have a great future Emerald.

Absolutely brilliant stuff.

Co. Limerick, Shannon originally. Moved from there a long time ago to the exciting, sunny exotic Belfast, The California of Ireland. Is it fuck!

Anyway, thanks for comments, fellas. I'll certainly be trying to get stuff out there and possibly into the clubs hands as my portfolio builds, It's a little shallow at the moment.

Just for reference:

I wanted a Liverpool theme to it. Rafa had the face to suit. Plenty of character, and isn't wholly unlike the Dutch master himself. Here's the results in images. I'll post the video when I compile it and upload it.

1st layer: Ink outline and tonal wash.

2nd Layer: Under painting; raw umber mid-tone shadow.

3rd layer: 2nd shadow layer.

Layer 4: Penumbra (Dead Layer)

Layer 5: color 1st body.

Layer 6: 2nd body.

Layer 7: final layer; detail; highlights; signature.

What a load of old sweaty cr*p b*llocks. F*ck off, you fat, useless tw*t. I...

Erm...

Oh, sorry ER - I thought I was replying to a wum/peewee/heimdall/the rock post... :D

to give art critics something to be critical on?

that's my reason for art. good paintings though mate.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Beautiful work, it seems like a complicated process.  Can you also paint using real oil paint?

This is EXACTLY how I paint using real oil paint. There is no difference apart from the obvious time it takes waiting for paint to dry. It's different, but the properties used in the digital paint are just the same where under layers change the color of the layer on top. Think of it like this: if you take a clear piece of red plastic and put a blue piece on top with the same opacity level, what do you think happens?
