Rafa - Time to show lessons have been learned

I certainly don't think he's learnt anything.

I really don't.

He's been here four years and been doing the same things since day one. I wouldn't be suprised in the slightest to see Mascherano in the side at the expense of Alonso come tomorrow which would be a massive mistake as the form of Xabi and Stevie is very good at the minute. I also wouldn't be suprised to see a change in system and I wouldn't be suprised to see Keane on the bench after finally scoring his first goal.

For me, he tries to be far to clever and doesn't understand the very basics of playing the game. As a player, if you've scored, you want to carry on, if you've played well, you want to carry on, if your partners played well, you want to keep playing with them.

I agreed with his change with Aurelio for Dossena, that was a good change. When you win and someone is poor then I believe the game after thats an acceptable change. For example, has Alonso been shabby (see what I done there? :D ) the other day against PSV then I wouldn't be bothered to see him replaced by Mascherano, the same with Keane, had he again failed to score and looked out of place I wouldn't have been arsed to see Gerrard to the right and Kuyt put in upfront to protect him. What really drives me mad is changing for the sake of it.

P.S. I still have absoloutely no idea what Rafa see's in Lucas. He's one of the worst players in his position in the league. Why we let Sissoko go to sign that, I'll never know. I'd rather Spearing get some minutes and he lacks the pace and technical quality needed, at least he'd give you the fight and aggression.

But it's true aswell Pongolle wasn't ready to stay as a sub.

As for the mate that mentions that he didn't show much, I don't remember Rafa giving him two games in a row, I remember a cup tie against Luton away (I think) in which the lad scored two, if I remember correctly a header and a shoot, and then the lad hadn't another chance in a month.

Bellamy's a good player Sabre. Better than Kuyt for a start.

Yes at that particular time sabes scoring two goals in one match was definately not a good idea if you wanted to play in the next match. I remember Crouch around that time was getting benched on a regular basis after finding the net.

One of those goals in particular by Ping Pong did make me sit up and take notice. he was amrked up and kind of just stepped away from the fella to "open the door" for the pass as I call it. He then ran on to a through ball from Alonso (I think) and finished with aplomb. The movement though was very clever, and was in indication of real quality, as well as being probably his best moment for us I thought.

The finish was handy aswell. It shown his quality, he had alot to his game, he was just never given a real chance to show it.

I think that is how we all feel about Rafa but we either have him or don't there is no middle ground.

I had idea about keegan he is a top attacking manager right ?

I wouldn't have him as full manager of liverpool due to his poor setup of defences but think about this Rafa manager Keegan as attacking coach it would be a great combo.

I have no doubt we would improve alot with Keegan at club in that sense.  :idea

As much as I like Kevin Keegan (he is a good person, I believe), he is certainly not a top manager, now at least. Whether he was 10 years ago is open to debate. I don't believe so. I feel very sorry for him, but, honestly, he's not go the managerial ability of a Ferguson, a Scolari, a Wenger, a Mourinho or even, indeed, a Rafa Benitez.
