28v18 at the moment, that's around 61%-39% if you ignore the "undecided" who in one case aren't really undecided, and in the other probably isn't either just thought more would sit on the fence

Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

JBG this is what keeps confusing me.

you say he has done great over 5 years, whats he done exactly?

we havent won a cup for 4 of them, and lets be honest thats what makes the difference between a good or bad manager.

mourinho, could do just as good a job, as could roberto mancini, gus hiddink, frank rijkaard, laurent blanc, plenty of suitable candidates, wether they are available is another matter.

but one which i wish would go away is the klinsman link, this guy failed with bayern ffs.

Even if your 'support' is in the balance, would your view shift on the basis of one game?!?!?

No, I've largely come to a decision but I'm only prepared to put it on record after an absolutely vital league game not after a dead rubber CL game.  It's the principle of the thing.

Losing against Arsenal wouldn't add too much extra pressure on Rafa, but if we lose away to Portsmouth in our next game after, then he will be under a bigger strain. They are dire, but I am not overly confident that we will beat them. We should do, but in this form you never know. A blazing four or five goal win would be a great boost.

liverpool will beat arsenal and just like the united game it will fans feel like we have turned the proverbial corner, but i'm sure it will just be yet another false dawn.

If the opinion of the game going fans who go to the games were split in the same way I think we would hear mostly booing at every game and he would have been sacked by now.

So in reality that little x v x stat means sweet feck all mate.

I'm not blind to the fact that there are problems, but over 5 years he has done a great job and its not as if there are many suitable candidates who could improve on what he can do.

The second half of the season will tell a lot.

I think there are quite a few who are capable of doing the job. How many times have we all (note ALL) questioned the lineups and roles of players over the past few seasons. I have given my benefit of the doubt to rafa on plenty of occasions but this myth that there is nobody else who could do a better job is just rubbish. The first thing a new manager would do is pick the strongest lineup with players playing in their best position. I would say thats a given. And to be frank, thats all im looking for. The basics, if a player is fit play him, if he scores goals play him, if he is on form play him. As simple as that. And many managers stick to these basic principles. Rafa doesnt. I would think it fair to say not one supporter has the slightest inkling as to what goes on in rafas head when it comes to the selection process. I surely dont.

I still don't know how we managed to beat united in this torrid season. At least that is one positive to pull out of this mess. :D

i think despite all his eccentricity & shortcomings, rafa has done reasonably well in his last 5 years.

in the heat of the moment (during a bad spell), we CANNOT just simply write off what he has achieved (UCL win, UCL final, FA cup & the best EPL run-in in recent memory). we also CANNOT deny that rafa has restored our pride in europe.. we are now a feared force to be reckoned with (except this season) but we can't say that prior to 2005.

Mind you, it is NOT a small feat considering the head-start of other clubs (man utd, arsenal, chelsea), the dire financial situation of the club and the sour relationship with the owners.

so the question for me is not whether he has done well enough in the past 5 years? bcos that is a YES. but the question is whether he can do more from here, starting with rescuing our season? TBH i don't know.

in life (particularly a relationship), there comes a turning point time when 2 parties either breakthrough to greater heights or simply have to part ways.. and more often than not, it is of no fault of either party. circumstances do change.

it is the same with football.. and i am afraid, we are approaching one of those turning points for rafa and LFC.

that said, i am confident someone else can do the job even if he goes. i am very curious what king kenny can do now.. :D

in life & in football... we ALWAYS move on.. it will be no difference this time.
