LASK Linz have an agreement to welcome Besian Idrizaj back to the club if his move to Liverpool does not work out.

The 17-year-old has signed a two-year contract at Anfield after impressing Rafa Benitez during a recent trial period.

The midfielder was spotted by Liverpool scouts whilst representing Austria at the Under-17 European Championship.

"How often does a young Austrian get the opportunity to join the current Champions League title holders?" asked LASK president Peter-Michael Reichel.

Although it was a tough decision for Reichel to make, he felt he could not block Idrizaj's dream move, although insisting on the clause that he will return to Linz on a free transfer in 2007 if things do not work out

hopefully this guy will be quality and we won,t have to open the clause for him to return,our reserve team will be exciting to watch with all these promising youngsters recently purchased playing

Sorry it's very early in my country at this time and I just got to the computer while surfing to see the CL results. Sorry, "slip of the eyes" as I just really skimmed through while waiting for the other window to load the sports page...

Lando, I am in the same country as peewee is, as is siti_zaitun1982 and babu.

The country's Malaysia...beautiful and nice, except for the hazy period!

That was why my firend peewee got so p!ssed off after waking up at 3:00 am to only watch a live telecast of a very listless and lucky Liverpool 0-1 loss to CSKA. Admitedly, a second string team were playing with the exception of Hyppia, Cisse and Morro.

If we had conceded that second goal after both Josemi and Hyppia were caught admiring the passing skills of CSKA (and Carson in no man's land after sliding out to do his best only for the ball to fall to a CSKA player who luckly balooned the shot), we could have been in for a torrid time and at the end of a very embarassing situation.
