I hope Rafa rotates and rotates next season, doing things his way, and wins us the league. Egg and face...

And what exactly is this "light" that he is meant to see?

I'd like to see a settled team in the league, by all means, he can rotate this his heart is content in the League Cup, F.A Cup and Champions League, but for the first 5 games in the league I expect to see Reina, Carra, Agger, Gerrard, Babel, Maschereno, and Torres in each team. By all means he can rotate Finnan and Arbeloa, or this new lad and Aurelio and even the right wing position, but the core nucleus has got to stay the same and I hope we don't see Torres one game, Voronin and Kuyt the next. We need a good start and we need 15 points on the board in the first 6 to 7 games. Sensible rotation please Senor Benitez.

I think we will stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation, which in all honesty I felt we played for most of last season anyway. Kuyt/ Voronin were just playing the "Gerrard" role early in the season, while although Gerrard is a more attacking player than either Alonso or Masch, he did play a more disiplined midfield role earlier in the season. It was just a change of personalities not a change of formation imo.

Hopefully he will start to give "form players " a run of games and start to take players off a little earlier when they are struggling.

I just think rotation like zonal marking is part of Rafa's deep held beliefs, and I can't see him changing his philosophy. Perhaps we will see slightly less rotation of our "core" players , but after the Euro's and with us having to play qualifying matches in the CL again, I wouldn't hold my breath.

My views exactly , rafa has to stop rotation

I have never mentioned hoping that Rafa heeds my advice.

Well that's good because neither have I. I do though have an opinion visa vis some of the managers methodology. It appeared to me and seemingly to some other people as well that towards the end of last season, there was a shifting in his stance on rotation. We were no longer seeing formational changes, positional changes and personel changes on the same wholesale scale as we did earlier in the season. Whether or not this is a "seeing of the light", a "realisation" a "final acceptance" or simply a complete figment of our imagination is the point of an ultimately pointless thread.

I didn't though and never have suggested that Rafa "heeds my advice". That would be silly wouldn't it.

Course we could just not bother having an opinion of such matters. Rafa's got the coaching badges, therefore he knows whats best and we should just accept every decision without comment, just be a "real" fan. Anybody who criticises him or has an opinion is a fool anyway. Then we could spend the closed season posting up funny pictures, and just hope that next season after four consecutive seasons of abject failure of mass rotation to work in the Premiership it'll come off next time.

'Cos there's nothing wrong with the methodology at all, it's the players innit?
