Rafael Benitez believes Steven Gerrard will remain at Anfield beyond the end of the present season despite speculation claiming otherwise and said the player is happy with the way things are progressing at Liverpool. 
The Liverpool manager believes Gerrard will stay at the club even if the Reds don't win a trophy this season.
 
Benitez said: "I don't think we will have difficulty keeping Steven, even if we don't win anything this season.
 
"Steven is working very hard and he is happy here. When I talk with him he has a lot of confidence and I am sure he wants to be here because he is a Liverpool supporter - even more than me."

It's a relief [in a way] that the Boss is confident in Gerrard. Just shows the character Rafa has. He has made a huge difference in this club.
