Hopefully all of the sh!te going on behind the scenes will be exposed now. Even those celebrating his departure might be able to comprehend where others have been coming from. I've no doubt we will improve on last seasons 7th finish and people will probably use that to justify his exit but there you go
Let's work hard and get rid of the vermin
Cmon, lets not get carried away and try and make out that Rafa was innocent in all this!
To be honest he would have had no gripes if he had been sacked by a decent board at any of the top clubs
We all thank him for some great memories and wish him all the best for the future
BUT, just like GH he'd ran out of ideas and was taking us backwards
And just like GH he needed pushing because he would have never walked away.
I still believe there is significant differences between Rafa and GH.
GH brought it upon himself to 95% to get the sack.
He was backed in the transfer market in his last season pretty well, but didn't bring in 1 single player that improved the 1st 11.
Instead he wasted enourmous amounts on Diouf, Cisse, Cheyrou, Diao, Le Tallec and they were all very poor.
Rafa hasn't been backed but instead had to sell players to buy new ones.
GH never made successful buys like Alonso, Torres etc that trippled in value but instead bought much **** that dropped alarminly in value.
And Rafa wasn't backed better than GH overall even though 10 years past in time and players became more expensive!
Or the fact that new rivals liek Chelski and City came along spending enourmous amounts, something GH never had to deal with.[/quote]
I'm comparing them in the fact that they both reached a point of no return.
As supporters we ALL wish the manager of the time has continued success
But just like all our great players, when its time to go, its time to go
