I thought it was meant in jest... reading the context it wasn't a racial slur, season ban is pretty harsh? UIt was more ironical than racist?

Maybe someone will write a 100 page plus report on Maypax's intention but right now I can't be ars'ed Daws. Given the current climate I and others fail to see the joke.

I NEVER said it was a good joke  :;):

season ban though is a bit much. It wasn't the best timing for a racially aimed joke, even I didn't do that

Anyways, I'm holding my judgment until the invistegation is done, I'm all for punishing who ever did this of course and would love to see the club doing something to prevent such actions in the future.

being reports on the news that it was picked up on a sound mic so we will soon know what was said.

Good stuff, we will know soon enough.

From a media perspective, the only thing I'd quibble with about the club's handling of the Suarez affair (let's separate that from this latest incident), is that they might have acknowledged that Suarez made a mistake insofar as using the word 'negro' looks bad and might be construed as offensive. That might have helped to temper this problematic perception of intransigence held by the media and others besides. Other than that, I don't blame them for supporting their player.

As many know, Tom Adeyemi got very upset yesterday and is claiming some fans shouted racial abuse at him. According to the media he was called a “f**king black b*stard” as he approached the Kop. Then, afterwards, while the lad was in tears, a host of our fans started singing Suarez songs...which in the current context made the situation a whole lot worse.

And while on the subject, the handling of the Suarez situation was, to be blunt, a f**king disaster. The t-shirts, the spouting of b0ll0cks by the club and everything else should NEVER have happened. It’s not the Liverpool way to air arguments in the press and Kenny and Luis should have kept their mouths shut and let the investigation happen.

The club also needs to set up an anti-racism campaign and hammer home that racial abuse, in any form, is unacceptable. We need the players to make a stance on the field to show this too. Perhaps even get Luis to front a campaign about racial awareness and cultural differences so the reputation of our great club isn’t ruined by a idiotic minority.

I don't for a second believe our fans are racist...but that's not the impression we've given and we need to act now.

While I'm on it, how do you think Suarez fronting a racial awareness campaign is going to help matters if you think the wearing of T-shirts by the players and manager in support of him was a disaster?

Doesn't make any sense to me.

ok this is from a reporter on twitter

it seem video or somthing has shown it to be

"You f****** black b******."  and "black c***".

if that is true then the fan will be charged by the police and i am sure the club will ban him for life.
other reports on twitter are asking if the club will be charged by the FA for not controlling its fans and this could see Liverpool fans banned from the next fa cup game.

Damn ! If only Suarez had used that defence, it would at least have made this thread obsolete.

We're on a focking forum!

What kind of a whiner gets insulted by something meant to be a joke anyway? Have you people never been insulted in your life?

reading more stuff on twitter, seems theres more and more coming out and no one seems to know the truth so think we will just have to sit back and see what happens when the tapes are seen. some reporters seem to think they know what is on it but others say no one has yet spoken about what on them or if any thing is even on them.

bit hard to find the truth on twitter right now, sky reports are saying one thing, bcc reporters are not saying the same as them and other sports reports......are talking about other fa cup games...thers a shock lol
