Top man - there was a lot of pressure on him when he took over from Shankly; but
he handled it supremely.

I love Alan Kennedy's story of his debut at Anfield. He had a stinker of a first half.
In the dressing room Bob says to him "I think they shot the wrong Kennedy". :D

Matt McQueen - Liverpool 1892-1928.
Only professional to - play in goal (41 appearances), Defence, Midfield, Striker, and later be Director and then to be Manager (winning a Championship) - at one club

I cant believe I have friends who don't know who he is.

RIP Sir Bob, Legend
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

The fact they profess to be football fans and don't know who he is just makes me unable to take their football views seriously

He'd be 90 today  :(

He didnt need to be 'sir' whats the point it means nothing.

'Whispering Bob' the legend, is more than sufficient.

RIP Bob, the gentle giant.

If only we had a manager of Paisley's class, managerial expertise and tactical brilliance now.

The unfotunate truth is people like Bob (and Bill) are managers - and men - that come along only once in a blue moon. Not sure Bob would have appreciated todays media scrum, attention to everythin non-football and the attitude of a few prima donnas in the beautiful game. He wouldn't have relished goin on SSN straight after a game bein asked stupid 'relationship' questions after a hard fought draw nor would he have accepted the multi million pound contract deals todays wannabes wanna be signin. Anyone imagine a player knockin his door and demandin to play satdy?

But make no mistake, Bob wasn't always 'the nice man' that wouldn't disagree in case it caused a row. And whiskey noses mind games? Wasted on Bob I'd have said.

Unfotunately(?) footballs moved on since the great man was our manager, its more money and players than club these days. Stars have more rights - or at least they believe they do - than when BP was in charge. I doubt players like Diiouff would ever have come here under him, but imagine how he'd have reacted to that vile individual? It saddens me some what the way our club has changed over the years, and to that end I'm kinda glad that such a man is not our manager now - he was far too nice a person, far too big a man, and far too in love with this club to be held to ransom by those that control the club now. Imagine someone with his knowledge havin to ask two americans if he could please have the money to buy a guy from Scotland called Kenny.........

RIP Bob Paisley - a man we could all learn somethin from.
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road
