Example of what I mean - Diouf cost £10m, and made 80 appearances.

£10m divided by 80 appearances = £125,000 per appearance

And no, it's not him.

Right player, wrong maths - he technically made 5 first team appearances (couple of pre-season games in 1998), making it £400,000 a game.

i think Ferri might have played about 4 to 6 games actually, he was signed near the end of the season around the old deadline day in march, so must of played a few.
