A good win. I was especially pleased to see Spearing come on and play well. Babel had a good game too, hopefully his season can kick on from there. Keane seemed to get better as the game went on too, I only hope Rafa has taken note of his late game threat.

good team but i can't see rafa playing 4-4-2 and defo can't seeing him playing babel up front what ever reason he don't think he is striker.

Personaly this is game rafa needs to take a punt and play him as striker but who knows.

Result isn't that important but i think we win 3-1.  :)

:D I win 3-1 get in hahahaha  :D

that and ciggys piles i am on fire today.  :p

I said 3-1 too!  Completely forgot I had even said that though  :p

Right before I go any further I take offence to people who support my club but call my city.
And secondly you told me I dont know the history of my club I will not get into an arguement with you but first and foremost I am a scouser therefor I know the history of MY club, and secondly you are a VISITOR when you visit my CITY ok.

The hubcap jokes are for visiting fans not for so-called Liverpool supporters, if you love the club from Liverpool you also have to accept scousers our club does not belong to you.

Hence the name: LIVERPOOL F.C. ok

Anyway back on topic first half was a bit dire, but we turned it round big improvement from Babel, Keane p!ssed me off no end with the waving of arms and moaning.
Highlight of the match fresh & new faces what a joy to be hold brilliant, when things where going stale they showed they wanted to get on our train choo feckin choo.

Well in redmen.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

bravo, here here. must be the sort  of fan who loves the romance of the club but doesnt know the real identity. With the :censored: rolled up in his pocked hell b on his way. tut tut :no

great to see the young guns get a go an very nice to see masch get the captains armband.

Wish keane had got on the score sheet looked lively but as a playmaker not a striker/finisher. riera, ngog and bable all drifted in and out of the ga,e which happens to often. I like reira but he hasnt had one OUTSTANDING game where hes ripped teams apart, i like the lad tho.

Things are looking good, well done lads, keep on marching (walking)

O right i have no ties to liverpool at all do i no you don't even know me so please don't say what connection i have to liverpool.

Just bcos i don't shout it from the roof tops like soom don't mean I don't know the city of liverpool.

Leg Barnes, we all make mistakes, just apology for an unnecesary joke, and move on.

I'm not scouser and I'll never be, but the city in which the club was born deserves a respect only for that -- let alone his decent people.

The result was really good.

I only saw the second half and from what I saw the lads did okay, up until our first goal I noticed Carra had the urge almost every given opportunity to pump the ball long. Egg Nog was the target man for these long balls, but his touch, control and passing let him down at times. He took his goal really well mind you so at least he does know where the net is, but he needs to improve on his all round game. Keane worked really hard, he pi$$ed me off with his constant moaning at teamates, refs and the like. He played a good ball through to Egg Nog for his goal, and I agree with Barry that at times he looks a little to intelligent for the players around him. He does make the runs, his movement is good but the likes of Babel and N'gog didnt have the vision or pass to pick him out. Rieras goal was a beauty, hopefully his form will pick up a bit now.

Lucas did well from what I saw tonight/this morning, that will help his confidence no end, good to see the likes of Darby, Spearing and Kelly get a run out to. Dossena didnt look too bad either.

Considering this was pretty much a second string side the lads did really well, but I dont think we should be getting carried away with the fact that we know have "options". PSV are a shower, and most of these same lads would struggle against the likes of Hull I think, but still they couldnt do anymore than they did, they won, they did show great character and it was nice to see the second string come in for once and get a job done.

Well done lads. :)

Before I go on to comment on our performance I'll start by saying that PSV are by some distance the worst team we have played this season.  We will have tougher games in the FA Cup this season against lower league opposition.

We can only beat what's in front of us though and it was a good team performance.  The defence played well as a unit.  Dossena had his best game yet in a Liverpool shirt.  Agger, Carra and Arbeloa had decent games too.

In midfield Riera was the best player on the pitch in the first half, but as usual he faded badly second half, with literally his only contribution of the half being his superb goal.  Babel threatened but as usual largely failed to deliver.  I do think he looked better on the right though than he does on the left.  His goal was decent but the goalkeeper flapped it has to be said.  I also thought Lucas played his best game for us that I've seen.  Got his foot in and his distribution was good too.  Mascherano didn't have his best game.

Up front both Ngog and Keane got better as the game went on.  Neither were great first half, but second half Ngog held the ball up better and Keane's movement was good.  Keane did everything but score and his vision to set up Ngog for the goal and shortly after Lucas was top class.

Overall very satisfying and of the lads who came on I think Darby acquitted himself best.  Didn't look out of place.
