Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

most reports are suggesting that we're going to go three at the back. if that's the case, it'll be interesting to see who plays right wing back.

Heard that meself ST, Aurelio and Finnan will be the wingbacks then, if it all goes tits up Warnock will have to come on.
They have 2 very pacey forwards and they will not be a push over.
Only good thing is they are still rusty and so are we, we have better players, but they just need to perform on the night.

I will defo hope Kuyt and Bellamy playing up front against PSV, please not a lone striker tactic!

LOL I hate the lone striker tactic especially when it is Crouch plying up front himself, providing no pace whatsoever!

My team would be:

.....................................Dudek..................................

Finnan................Carragher................Hyypia...........Aurelio

Pennant.............Gerrard...............Alonso..............Gonzalez

.........................Kuyt........................Bellamy.................

3 0 the reds, clean sheet most important after a terrible display. Kuyt sure to score with such a success rate in that league. i dont think the 3 at the back will happen. flat back four but disciplined this time. liverpool will play with pace and flare.  i can sense a good result.

Anyone think sisoko and gerrard in the middle? pennant on the right wuth kuty and bellamy up top?

Nervous about this match. It will not be easy at all. The squad won't be feeling too happy after the derby.

I would definately start Bellamy and Kuyt - and try to fit Luis in as well.

I would probably play this formation if we play 3 at the back:

.                       Reina

Finnan              Carragher              Aurelio

Pennant      Gerrard       Sissoko       Gonzales

                      Luis Garcia

                   Kuyt       Bellamy

Hard to decide whether to play Sissoko or Alonso.
