Wool, Wooly, Woolyback, Sheepshagger

A person or persons who lives outside of the Liverpool area and attends the game on the odd occassion. Most associated with people from Lancashire/Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. Often used by Scousers to describe someone who lives farther afeild than Formby to the North, Kirkby to the East and Speke to the South.

the term woolyback comes from the carrying of wool in rural areas which carried on the back of the worker.

In relation to the thai prime minister, i live in SE Asia and we get a lot of news about this deal. he made his money in communications before he went into politics, he is now a billionaire. he recently sent his daughter to work in Mcdonalds so she can learn the value of money.

Last year the Liverpool veterans played in Malaysia and then flew up to Bangkok to play there. the support for Liverpool is massive in Thailand.

When the veterans where here in Kuala Lumpur i went to the press conference and chatted with the players. one thing that surprised me was the presence of Rick Parry, as far as i could see at the time he had no real reason to be here so maybe talks had already started at that point, as i recall he met the Thai PM then.
