sense at last - dont remember what I said the game before this but as soon as I saw the line up yesterday I knew it was game over. Pepe, Carra, Agger, Jonno, Gerrard, Lucas, Downing, Suarez, Adam still all have to come in. That is absolutely nowhere near a first team last night, it was a carling cup side at best.

the only thing that we can gage from pre season friendlis is that we hav so much dung outside our first choice 15 players, those boys playin out there are not capable of of ever being a decent player. most would struggle to hold a place in a championship team, poulsen, degen, cole, insua, r all really awful and need to go, jovanovic showed glimpses of a bit of decent quality at times, but other than that hes still not worth his wages, id say if we could offload those sh!t players we could save about £200k a week on wages. or put if towards 2 top class players. id take 2 players of quality over 6 or 7 of the second choice team we currently have.  sort it out kenny, im gettin annoyed here.

Preseason is hugely important it's the only time that fringe players and new signings will get a chance to gel together prior the season starting. If we have any intention of fighting for the league we should be winning these games, not losing 3-0. Like they say winning is a habit and our preseason has been dire, not only in the results but also the performances, apart from a few exceptions. By winning the games, players, who don't usually play together, would be instilling confidence in each other and the patterns of play would be established.

I know that we are all in love with Kenny and he shouldn't be questioned but If players like aquilani and poulson are apparently for sale, then why are they playing?

Given the size of the squad, if it's KK's wish to put players in the shop window, we should have had about 6 friendlies w/ league 2 or blue square teams :wwww

Leave the "serious" pre-season matches to the squad of players that will be vying for places.

i would say that dalglish in the freindlies should be playing close to his sarting Xi for the start of the season line up, instead of making loads of changes at HT

This is for two reasons...
1. Some of the players currently featuring in the freindlies will probably not still be at the club come Aug 31. (ie. Cole)

2. when the season starts, most of the new signings/ and established players will not be used to playing together as a unit. (thus means a bad start/ not playing on the same wavelength/tempo).

I think Dalglish is loathe to show his hand ,and would rather Liverpool were a bit of an unknown quantity .I wouldn't be at all surprised if roughly the same team started in Norway . Another bring and buy sale . I think the Valencia game is where we might see a semblance of a real Liverpool 11 .

I disagree. We already know Reina will play on Monday. I think Valerenga will be the first of the friendlies to show a decent XI.

Pass out the tambourines so those of us that don't have access to Kenny's "plan" can sing along.

Personally I thought pre season was about fitness and gelling the team together.
So far we've seen a succesion of players fielded whose future at Liverpool, to put it mildly, is at the very least questionable, why are the likes of Poulson and Degen even getting game time ?, it's not as if Kenny arrived yesterday, surely he already knows which players have got something to offer us ?

I know we've been missing some key players and I hope Reds right and that we do see something resembling our first eleven fielded for what little is left of our "pre season" as so far for me we've been a bl'oody shambles.

totally agree with this.
Fitness and making the team gel are key.
The use of the likes of degen and poulsen is mystifying.
The galatasaray game was such a strange one, why travel all of that way and field the kind of team we did ?

Scratching my head me.
Watched Chelsea against villa yesterday and they played a normal side and looked like if the season started next week they would be ready.
We wouldnt be, lets just hope Kenny plays something close to the first team in these last 2 games.
