i will say their are alot of :censored: floating around, like questions such as whos going to score for liverpool against TNS. I agree this is not needed, but given the right direction by a senior member the post can be made into a decent one.

Do your best then CRA

i cant save every silly post lol

I think there are a few new younger posters here....maybe we need some sort of LFC play area for them?

you need some help man?

maybe it would be time to rejuvenate the advanced members forum

i mentioned that to JBG....i was thinking of hiding in there until things calmed down.....anyone with me!

When i first started posting on here I thought Leon was the most arrogant, ignorant and rude guy I had never met. Over time, not only have I come to really like the guy and find his posts very funny, I now find him a little soft. I hanker after somebody a little more extreme. Somebody who pays no mind to political correctness. Who squeezes his pimples in the direction of common decency, laughs in the face of politeness and manners.
Where have you gone Stu the red? A forum turns it's lonely eyes to you.

Ironically last year i was looking at several different forums and decided on this one during the off season as there seem to be alot of reasonable discussion, good passioniate local posts without being to the point of you werent allow to say anything negative, some good old head kicking ala Stu/Leon  and even a touch of the silly soap opera ala Hustler (which i find ok in moderation) and fairly friendly crowd
The last time i had been to a LFC forum was official one at LFC TV during 2001 when i was laid up with a achilles tendon reconstruction and that after several months of that vowed never again.
It was only excitement of Rafa appointment that brought me back and i was being very choosey after LFC TV experience
I found this place seem to go downhill once season started especially with multiple ID rubbish, people starting to get real clicky and people using the place to vent their frustrations out on after a bad result.
I thought one of good things about the off season was at least this place would calm down a bit but like others i feel it seems to have got worse. I  still think its the price we pay for CL win as the club now has with that result brought on a whole new bunch of fans and personally dont think the arrival of new season will make any difference to the quality of this place but hope im wrong

Ive not posted much on here but have been a member for a couple of years and must say that the standard of posts has gone down at a rate of knots. The fact that there is a thread on it sums it up. I think the moderators have to look into bringing a few people into line as poteniol newbies who maybe able to contribute to forum may be put off by about 6 or so idiots.

damn you bigmick - you've dragged me out of hiding and my self enforced abstinence from the forum!! the drop in quality is not a figment of your imagination, to be blunt it is currently sh!t. though the winning of the CL has been a wonderful thing for liverpool football club it has been a near tragedy for this forum. we are now inundated with (i believe) hundreds of teenagers spouting rubbish, starting new pointless threads, throwing around cheap insults and generally treating the place like the back of the school bike sheds. or more simply its used as a football related chat room and not a discussion forum. it's become impossible to have or to follow any decent discussion and some of the lack of knowledge is patently shocking.

my recomendations to many of these newbies would be as follows:
read some of the older threads from before the CL final and see how good and informed debate is carried out.
starting a new thread does not make you a good and important forum user - if you feel that your point of view is more important than everyone elses on the same subject and deserves its own thread, think again.
if you want to chat, have a look at the menu in the top right corner and select 'Live Chat Now' - its a totally underused facility and ideal for the quality of chatting that is filling up the forum.

maybe this will all die down when the transfer window is closed and the season has started. maybe it won't. i'll now retire again into obscurity...

Its not just "newbie" members that are the problem.

There are plenty of older members out there who have been around here a long time and who are more interested now in making co.ck and tads jokes than posting football stuff.

Its a farce and from now on, I'm just going to delete these rubbish, juvenile "Oooh Matron" posts in football threads.

i dont know about you lot, but i am in despair that i am unable to get to the champions league game tonight :(

i feel that TNS is going to be the receiving end of a rout. according to the daily express, big rafa, wants to finish it tonight

i applaud his attitude :)

I hadnt been on here for a while as its only when i'm in work that i can get on here.
What i have noticed is that amount of piontless topics that are being started, that push any interesting stuff miles back, sifting through the rubbish is tedious and on nearly every thread i open, it ends up as a general chat between 2 people that noone else wants to read or gives a sh@t about.
All i can say is it must be time consuming being a moderator...having to sort through the constant drivel.
I dont post on many threads as most aren't open to debate.
One of the suggestions about opening up a creche for the young fans seems really appropriate, i know its not always young fans who write :censored: (we are all guilty at times)
But when you get the sh@te about Roy Evans constantly finish about 11th in the league in threads...it underlines a total lack on knowledge of the club...and respect for the legends we all idolised.

I agree that there has been a lot of sh.ite on here recently, and through boredom I have probably contributed to some of it myself.  However there are a few who have been taking the pi.ss.  One member, who shall remain nameless, has been posting for a couple of weeks and has wracked up nearly as many posts as I have in 2 years, most of them being smiley faces (which are really starting to fu.ck me off).  I am usually against those that give new members a hard time but this guy needs to either wise up or pi.ss off.

Another thing is the recent craze of editing posts and mis-quoting people to make them look stupid.  Some tw@t was doing that for fun the other day, chr.ist, it was slightly humorous the first time but come on...

His name is Judge, although he's not the only person doing it.

Its ruining the main forum and I'm going to delete nonsense posts like that from now on.
