Probable team for sat Reina, Arbeloa, Hyypia, Agger, Aurelio, Benayoun, Alonso, Mash, Reira, Babel, Ngog.

alonso is banned against City.

quite honestly i dont know whether to laugh or cry... given the choice of either kuyt or n'gog, id have to go witth playing 10men for 90 mins cause it cant be all that different can it ?! ... add to that the fact that our main striker seems to be babel atm and u sort of see what i mean..

seriously though... we have got to play 2 upfront if both gerrard and torres are out of this one.. the whole 4-2-3-1 thing will never work unless you have the right players for it and without gerrard and torres im afraid we dont... the players we have lack intelligence, movement without ball, and most importantly creativity so chances are if portsmouth do a good job at the back we'll be held for a 0-0 draw yet again..

have 2upfront and look to commit as many bodies high up until we score then get back to the negative and usuless tactics..

Portsmouth are bloody awful at the moment so we should be able to beat them with any side...is Sammy Lee eligible to play?   :laugh:    :grinning:

Yeah we should still be able to win this fairly easily. Their best 2 players gone as well as a manager who will surley be getting his p45 soon. We can go top with this!

So taking that rule into hand like Ciggy said, Alonso will miss the City game instead of this one....No Alonso or Gerrard against City in that case...
