Thats true, it was man u, bolton, chelsea, everton and arsenal that we had to play at the start of the season. With whatever squad we have I don't thik many people look forward to those away games. We should have been better against Sheff U tho

I really think Momo is different than Patrick Vieira.. I mean the way they both play are different.

I dont think its a case of Gerrard struggling to get back in the middle. As soon as Momo was fit enough he went straight back in. Watch us struggle from now on in midfield with a lack of creativity through the middle.   :glare:

BTW cracking game Momo !  :D

i think you will see a rotation used in the midfield area after momo's return...

but to play sissoko against barca in the middle was the right choice...

really depends on who we are playing...

i agree with you gerrard is a better creator than momo in an attacking sence...

i also dont think gerrard  playing on the right is to our advantage...

when he plays just behind the lone striker  that suites him better than on the right wing...   :;):

Momo is the best player we have at winning the ball back. Both Alonso and Gerrard have been a bit disappointing this season. Mome  MUST start away games against top teams as he is more important than any other midfielder in those games.

He needs to work on his distribution of the ball if he wants to be as good as he can be - which he no doubt does.

BBC Sport - Liverpool v Sheffield United

Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko is expected to have recovered from the shin injury that forced him off against Barcelona in midweek.

Argentine midfielder Javier Mascherano, Peter Crouch, Jermaine Pennant and Sami Hyypia may all start.

Sheffield United's Danny Webber (calf), Luton Shelton (groin) and Chris Morgan (calf) are all doubts.

Leigh Bromby serves a one-match suspension, while Keith Gillespie completes a four-game ban.

-----------------------------------------

Looks like it weren't as bad as first thought.

I remember when I first saw Sissoko play against Middlesborough in the 1st game of last season, I couldnt believe how bad he was. He looked like a headless chicken running around and not being able to pass. Since then, he has improved more and more with each game and is becoming every bit like Patrick Vieira. He loves a tackle, has great determination and work ethic. His passing has improved but thats the only department he is lacking in. He was the 1st player Benitez signed from Valencia and at the time I was disappointed because I thought of Albelda, Baraja, Ayala, Aimar and Vicente as players I would have loved Rafa to sign from Valencia. Momo is 1 of the most promising youngsters in European Football and brightest and emerging talent.
