It looked like the injury that Frank Lampard gave him last season. He won't be able to play next week that's for sure.

Broken ankle is usually months or so, looks like he will miss the world cup but be able to particpate in a full pre-season, he will be able to train after 6-8 weeks meaning he will able to have a full pre-season, i know its not a nice thing to think about but its the only plus point we can take from it.

I hope its a knock and not a break. If Alonso has busted the same ankle, then it could be serious. I'm hoping he's taken a knock and will be back in training within a few days.
