The figures are there for everyone to see with the players purchased and sold and even if they are out by a million either way it still wont add up to a net spend of 18.5 million that they are claiming - it looks like it is plain to see that any more spent over the last 12 months was only money recouped from player sales and even then not the full amount of money .

As I said maybe the figures you have produced are wrong ..... they are just spec-u-lation after all. I would presume the C.E.O. of Liverpool would not be stupid enough to lie, as the details WILL BE REVEALED when the annual accounts are produced.

Even if they are a bit wrong 18.5 million pound is a fair amount of money to be wrong by thou isnt - even more so when you consider that we didnt pay full amount for johnson or aqualini .

Maybe Purlsow is just talking about 18.5 mil spend and not including the money that came in on player sales .

The board of liverpool have shown to lie before - they have history of it .

Or maybe they still owed money on Torres, Keane and various other players in which they had borrowed money from future transfer windows?

Riera for example was supposedly bought out of the next years funds.

So money wasnt available for Rafa to spend then last summer ?

The normal 20 mil circa wasnt there for player purchases last summer becuase maybe we didnt have 20 mil to spend on player purchases just like dont think we will have this summer .

Only because he had already spent it. If he mismanaged funds so badly that he had to borrow out of next years budget that HIS fault not the boards.

But the season before mate the net spend was just under 4 million ?!

2008/09

In: £7m Dossena; £3.5m Cavalieri; £1.5m N’gog; £19m Keane; £8m Riera; Free Degen.
Total: £39m.
Out: £4m Riise; £11m Crouch; £2.25m Guthrie; £3.25m Carson; £16m Keane; Free Kewell; Undisclosed Le Tallec, Finnan, Hobbs.
Total: £36.5m.
Net spend: £2.5m.

So your saying he had to get 8 mil from last summers budget to spend the summer before ?

You can dress it up as much you want but bar the one summer when we bought torres and masher etc the two yanks have not given him circa 20 mil to spend every summer plus money from player sales - it seems to me he can only spend what gets from player sales and then maybe a little bit extra .

YOU can dress it up as much as YOU want. Fact- the Mancs made a 62 million pound profit on transfers in the Summer (which would have been nearer 100 million if they'd got a fee for Tevez). Despite that, they've stretched out their lead over us by about 15 points. Fact-We've spent more than them both gross and net since Benitez has been manager.

Again you are taking spec- u lation as fact. Maybe we only got £12million for Keane or the signing on fee was huge? Maybe the rumours were right and we had to pay him his full contract when he left. Purslow has said that all player sales are used for buying players, and that we spent the same as usual.

Don't forget that contract renewals is taken from the transfer budgets....  :)

Only once when the vermin increased the debt to 350 million did Rafa have 20 million+ to spend. Since then it has been 0 spend in total as the vermin couldn't borrow more and the never invest their own money.

What does that mean?
We could also sell Torres for 80 million any brag about not spending much money.

The difference is that Ronaldo and Rooney was already at Manure when Rafa was trying to start and build.
When Manure sell Ronaldo they have Rooney left.

When we sell Torres, we have Ngog left. That is the difference.

Manure, besides Ronaldo and Rooney, had Ferdinand, Scholes, Giggs, Neville etc etc a whole spine of quality players capable of winning.

What did we have???
Diuof, Cissé, Baros, Smicer, Chyrou, Diao. Only Gerrard had shown he was class and Owen had his mind set on leaving.
Ah, and Kewell, who couldn't avoid getting injured before stepping on the field.

As per usual you have stormed into the middle of something you havent got a f.ucking clue about . The point i have been making which seems to of gone past yoour massive ego is the owners havent given 20 million pounds per season for Rafa to just go and spend on players unless others have been sold . Ie all this talk of spending 50 odd million in the summer is just wishful thinking .

I know what we have spent and what we have recoupied and if you had bothered to read back a couple of pages oh mighty forum armchair internet forum fan you might of actually noticed what we were talking and it had f.uck all to do with the mancs or maureen or rotation or wrist slitters or real fans or any other hyper bole f.ucking utter :censored: you want to label people .

You're another one who doesn't know his ersehole from his earhole.

YES you could sell Torres for 80 million and brag about not spending any money, BUT do you seriously expect we would gain 15 points on the Mancs in the season after doing it?

We finished four points behind them last season and they sold one of the best strikers in the Premiership and the World player of the year. This time we are a country mile behind, and yet you say it's nothing to do with the way we've done things.

Don't just smell the coffeee, drink the fecker complete with a box of pro-plus.

So now its we spent the same as usual ? well that is true saint - we spent what we recoupied on player sales and f.uck all of the yanks money hence why do people think they will give us 20 million to spend during the summer .
