Carson - 7 A satisfactory debut but did not look confident enough dealing with corners.
Finnan - 8 Fantastic off the line clearances and looked solid at the back.
Carragher - 8 Yet another passionate display. No faults.
Pellegrino - 6 Decent performance but failed to deal with several aerial clearances.
Traore - 8 Lively and excellent performance overall, threatened everytime going forward. Great assist for the only goal of the game. Best performance to date.
Nunez - 8 Had a lively game and made some threatening runs.
Biscan - 7 Not the best we have seen from him but a really sharp eye for the only goal of the game.
Gerrard - 8 Not his best but still a commanding display by the captain.
Welsh - 7 A decent debut but a bit too quiet.
Riise - 7 Had a quiet game but linked well with Traore.
Garcia - 8 Looked lightweight in the first half but a much better performance in the second. Did not recieve much support.
Le Tallec - 7 Came on and did well but did not recieve much support.
Smicer - 7 Came on and looked lively. Made several penetrating runs.
Morientes - N/A Came on too late for an impression.

Too generous...Carson, Finnan, Carra and Troare I'll agree. The rest...no way. Nunez is a 6 at best.

It doesnt matter at this stage manure got a draw aginst blackburn now arsenal can overtake them. N more player ratings who are we to say anyway? we wernt there we dont know. All I know is we beat Bolton with basically our reserves.

i thought we were poor today, but its amazing what a goal does - against blackburn the goal never came and the team where slated but today we pinch a win and everythings great, though bolton looked a lot more dangerous than blackburn.
but every team has these wins infact everton have turned it into an artform.
the three points were massive.

=>Carson- 8.5 (He was great. He looks more confident than Dudek. His reflexes are fabulous! Great England prospect)
=>Carragher - 8 (Good performance but nearly scored an OG)
=>Pellegrino - 7 (Getting better game by game, but nearly cost us the match with an unnoticed handball in the penalty area in the dying minutes of the game)
=>Traore - 9(Solid defending and some great tackling. As Sir Bobby Robson would have said " He Loves Tackling ")
=>Nunez - 6.5(Poor in first half but hard working in the second)
=>Welsh - 7 (Another Gerrard in the making. Great work rate.)
=>Gerrard- 7 (Workaholic as usual)
=>Biscan- 8 (Man of the Match. Great fighting spirit. Denied Gary Speed a few times)
=>Riise- 7 (Seemed a little bit tired but made some great runs across the part early on)
=>Garcia- 6.5 (not a real striker but was much better in attacking midfield role during the last 15 minutes)
=>Le Tallec- 5 (He has the potential of being as good as Flo-Po before his injury. Need more match practice with first team)
=>Smicer-5 (He showed us a few glimpes of the great Vladamir Smicer when he was playing in France)
=>Morientes- 6 (Great as all world class strikers)
Beware fellow defenders, Milan is coming !

Funny you gave Troare higher rating but gave Biscan MOTM...tell me what have he done in the first 85 mins?
Some of your comments makes me wonder if we are watching a different football game... ???

MOTM isnt who played the best, it's who made the biggest impact, and as a generaal rule of thumb goes: the player who gives the assist (traore) is usually played down while the goal scorer (Biscan) is glorified into a cult hero

I "watched the game on the radio" today, sadly it was tower FM which covers Bolton & Bury and judging by their commentary our motm was finnan who rated as 2/10, all the others 1/10 meanwhile Bolton's heroes were all 10/10 and robbed. Bolton's players were of course all fantastic and were done an injustice by not getting all three points.

God I love small-town radio when they think something important's happening in their village   silly turds

No faults?

Didnt carra nearly head the ball past his own keeper to hand a bolton striker a clear through chance?

Lucky the ball rolled out!
