Player personalities - What are the lads like off the pitch?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

LOL  @ Lando's great post.

Anyway, the boys said Aldo was a riot, dribbling drunk, and the whole nightclub was in thrall of him

In Real Sociedad he didn't have discipline troubles, although he was seen with beers and so on, people wouldn't care as long as his performance was good, and it was. I said "Aldo Pichichi!" (Aldo top scorer) to him and he smiled and said thanks, I was a 13 year old boy and he was some sort of idol to me, my knees were weak.

Besides, every discipline problems coming from the English came from Dalian Atkinson,  a chap that came from Sheff Wednesday, he could have been class, as he was fast as hell, but he didn't want to.

I work in Huyton and turned down some colleagues one Friday dinnertime last year when they asked if I fancied going for a pint.  How gutted was I when they came back and said Stevie G was in there...and bought them a round?!

(BTW we had a Sunday game and I don't know what he was drinking.):(

If it counts, I saw Gerrards bird Alex today round by mine (her Ma lives round the corner from me).

She is as fit as you like in the flesh, proper footballers wife.  Should see the monster of a car she drives round in.  My brother used to know her, I can't say I've ever had the pleasure of a conversation with her.  I know quite a few lads who went out with her before she collared Gerrard though.

I used to see Gerrard every Sunday about five years back in a club on Edge Lane called "Reds" (which is now the infamous Devonshire where Wayne Rooney's family and his missus' family had that massive brawl at her birthday party) with that blonde lass off Brookside.  He used to attract some glares off the jealous types, but he's just glare back at them like a bulldog.  He doesn't look scared of anything.

EDIT:  My brother has just informed me she drives round in a Bentley convertable and a Range Rover sport which is what I saw her in this avvy.

Yeah, same complex.

What's Reds now then?  It's not Reds no more is it?  I used to like it there on a Sunday night, full of fantastic looking women.

Before he played in Liverpool he already had Liverpool attitudes. After a ban because of yellow cards, in Oviedo, he watched the game from the south goal, stand up, with all the younger crowd and supported the team yelling. It was the image of the week, and I certainly liked it.

Carra is the most down to earth out them all but thats no secret anyway he hasnt forgot his roots and never will, when he got called up for England years ago, and they where having a night out in town.
Joe Cole and Rio forgot to book a hotel so Carra said come and stay in me ma''s, they got in and jamie said ma were starvin, she made them bacon on, and said to Rio youll have to sleep on the couch and she threw a quilt to Joe Cole and told him he had to sleep on the floor :D

Luis Garcia loves cheese butties me ex works in the Hope street Hotel said he rang room service all the time for a cheese butty.
And our Darrens just dead normal, dont get to see him much now like but he's just the same as Carra really down to earth.

Macca was the first lad I snogged  before he was famous like, lived over the road from us and Karen his sister was me best mate, his mother died of cancer Irene she was the most lovely person you could ever have met, such a shame :(

I had many a night out with Robbie, Macca, Ince and Redknapp years ago some wild parties and then go to in the Albert Dock they never slept just went to training still p#ssed :upside:

They certainly lived up to their Spice boys name  :nod

When I was about 15 used to do them mingy beauty competitions in the Conti, John Barnes and Rushie where the judges, Rushie had just moved to Juve and I felt ashamed me mum was begging him to come back to Liverpool, she was sayin But Ian youve just gora come back like, I wanted to die of embarressment

Because of Carra, Riise is a regular in the Qudos (was the Coral, now a different name of which I can't remember) as when Riise first signed he was 'given' to Carra to look after!

I used to play for a team called Madigan's on Knowsley Road - of which Carra's mum was the landlady. We'd go and play our games on the Sunday at windy harbour (next to the Academy, for those not in the know, the WORST place I have ever played at) n them come back to the pub. Carra would regularly pop in and ask how we were gettin on!!! Quality...

It's not unrare to find him in Orrie's on County road after a home game as well!!!

Me Dad told me a quality one the other day - he's a cabbie around Bootle Strand and is one of those people that knows everyone. He's driving along one day and Carra's Jeep pulls up along side him. Me dad shouts a hello as he is friendly with Carra n the window comes down n Carra's Dad is at the wheel.

Me Dad asks how everyone is and asks how Jamie is as he had just broken his leg against Blackburn. Carra's Dad replies "ask him yerself" and then winds the back window down, where Jamie is sprawled across the back seats, leg in plaster in tow! Suitably embarrassed, Jamie say's f"unking hell Da," n says his hellos to me arl fella.

He regularly does charity stuff for me arl fella n has recently signed a shirt for me for a fella in work to auction for a school charity. Top bloke, nothings too much trouble  :buttrock  :buttrock

Hahahaha, Lando you f.ucking never cease to amaze me, man you crack me up!!!

Im gonna try and follow your style on this one, and say what I reckon they could be like:

REINA - Everytime I see this guy for some weird reason I get that tune in my head by Sade 'Smooth Operator', I reckon he is a real 'slick rick' kinda guy around the ladies, even though he is balding (probably attracts them more ??).
HOLIDAY SPOT: Cancun

CARRA - True scouse through and through, down to earth but also centre of the fun and games at parties etc; (Hmmm, hasnt he been in the paper befpre for that?
HOLIDAY SPOT: Skegness

HYPPIA - Boring f.ucker who enjoys watching the history and biography channel and going on rambling walks in big boots and khaki shorts with tweed socks, frequents Peak District.
HOLIDAY SPOT: Switzerland to hike

TRAORE - Quiet and humble, confidence problems have led to him to be found speaking to himself on numerous occasions. Enjoys Ice Skating :D
HOLIDAY SPOT: Greenland

WARNOCK - Loves Pro Evolution Soccer, thinks he is the best, but always loses to fatty Mellor. Childish pranks and the like, bit of a boy racer!
HOLIDAY SPOT: Ibiza/Ayia Napa

JOSEMI - Load mouth, and the most annoying guy in the team, made worse by his accent. Always jumping around and lively, just never stops annoying people.
HOLIDAY SPOT: Amsterdam

XABI - Nerd. End Of!! Doesnt even enjoy sex!!!!
HOLIDAY SPOT: Hawaii

DIDI - Enjoys hardcore German porn, loads of beer, gambling and the odd fag (cigarette I hasten to add ). Favourite haunt is 'William Hill' or in winter 'Paddy Power'.
HOLIDAY SPOT: Las Vegas

SG - A moany :censored:, has trouble sleeping at night!! Always tells himself 'I am the man', enjoys banter, but if it is about him, he moans again.
HOLIDAY SPOT: Wherever his missus says!! Rome/Paris/Madrid/LA/New York etc;

MOMO - Always on the phone, texting away. Relies on a lift to and from training from Djimi or Djib. Eats many bananas and mars bars and red bull (may explain the excess energy!). Meets with inspector gadget to go over the techniques for stretching his legs even further for tackling.
HOLIDAY SPOT: Wherever he goes, he will be back later than the rest,*cough* due to 'international commitment to Mali' *cough* :shifty

LUIS - A little b.itch!!  Mummys boy, complains about tackles in training but one of the funny characters, always running around the hotel, screaming. Likes to be chased (like I said, a little b.itch!!).
HOLIDAY SPOT: Monaco

RIISE - Thinks he is a musician, model, actor and all round playboy, but yet has forgot he is ginger and wonders why people laugh at him. Very immature and gets drunk too easily, does what his mum tells him.
HOLIDAY SPOT: Norway (where he is like a king)

HARRY - Another wannabe playboy. I picture him with two women on each arm, and at the end of the evening will be found in the hotel room, snorting cocaine from the lovely ladies breasts.
HOLIDAY SPOT: Martinique

CISSE - Good guy at heart, flambouyant due to insecurity, however I reckon he will snap in a second if provoked the wrong way. Spends his spare time doodling new patterns for his hair and looking for loafers that will match.
HOLIDAY SPOT: New York

MORI - Always playing with his hair, only eats spanish food. Always talking about the non spanish players, expecially with Alonso and more importantly RAFA.
HOLIDAY SPOT: Madrid

PONGO - Instigates all the parties and where to go on a night out, and as still young, is able to attract the fresh faced ladies to the lads!! Cant hold his drink.
HOLIDAY SPOT: Magaluf

CROUCH - Loner, believes in Aliens. Drives a mini for 'fun'.  Very intelligent.
HOLIDAY SPOT: Area 51 (UFO Spotting in Nevada, may travel with DIDI!!)

MELLOR - Frequents the local chippie three times a day, and still goes home and eats 'dinner'.
HOLIDAY SPOT: Weight Watchers in Florida (again!!!)

BOLO - Borderline gay, very weird habits. Very suspect!!
HOLIDAY SPOT: Old Compton Street, Soho, London

RAFA THE GAFFA - A very cold person, heartless and ruthless. Says plenty 'jokes' that are not funny. Always has a laptop with him, incase he has a moment of inspiration if not that then his PDA instead. Wears too much Cologne (Paco Rabanne). Has a subbuteo (sp?) table next to his four poster bed. With of course 4-2-3-1 set out on it, opposition? Chelsea of course!!!
HOLIDAY SPOT:  A MYSTERY all he will say is: 'I have POSSIBILTIES, we will see'!!!!

:D
