Apparently he's a Manc, said he'd rather work on his dad's fishing boat than play for Liverpool.

they all say that when they dont think a deal will realisically happen, it`a a different prospect when the contract is in front of them.
if michael owen who actually came through the ranks here can join the mancs then gunnarsson can come here, dont forget owen was no lover of united, that was the one fixture where he used to get the red mist over his eyes and he was sent off for some horrendous challenges. one particular one against gary palister was high and about a quarter of an hour late, he just used to lose it against them.

he is, but alan hansen was a united supporter and ian rush, robbie fowler, ste mcmanaman, michael owen and jamie carragher were all blues.
dont forget everton stalwarts dave watson and peter reid who were the 2 players who epitomised everton and their club spirit in the 80`s were kopites.

Brendan Rodgers grew up supporting Celtic.

on that manc site redcafe they seem to be under the impression that united was his team in england.
not that it means much anyway, matt busby ended up united through and through and was the epitome of that club but as a young man he captained liverpool and when he signed up during the second world war he didnt go home and join a scottish regiment he decided to join a liverpool regiment and fight, and if neccessary die, alongside scousers.

Apparently Brendan Rodgers is after young Dutch midfielder Jordy Clasie who is an immense passer of the ball.

Yeah, I've heard this as well, don't know anything about him tbh - but apparently he is a bit of a 'classy' player.  :lookaround

on the back of the echo it says that sigurdsson looks almost certain to be a liverpool player next season, he`s turned down a move to swansea and has been in touch with brendan rodgers to congratulate him on getting the liverpool job. sigurdsson said he`s not sure at the moment where he will be next season but liverpool are a huge club with a great history.

Just read man utd will complete the signing of modric after euros and also lewandoski will be join utd according to the Poland manager. Along with kagawa they've signed.

Chelsea have captured hazard and Marin and rumours hulk is next.

We need to start making some real noise in this window

i know it`s difficult but i dont think we should worry too much about what the likes of united, city and chelsea are doing in the transfer market.
we are not trying to compete with them for the star names, by going for the likes of signudsson and looking at the likes of this claise from feyernoord we are trying to sign the stars of tomorrow not the finished articles of today.
if there`s any shred of consolation to come out of united signing modric it`s that his departure with definately weaken spurs and the other big names in their squad might get a bit unsettled by the news.
