Philipp should be history by now, his time is over in my opinion.

In my opinion you need to give Benny the Noon a call. Ask him when he's coming back, and chalk yourself down for his "machine gunners" section. Once he returns, you'll be issued with your standard grade Kalashnikov and a super fast internet connection.

The problem with playing Degen in pre-season friendlies is that potential suitors might be frightened off by how :censored: he is !!

 So true. Just when you could really do with him picking up a slight injury to keep him out wehile the transfer window is open, the c... looks indestructable :D.

Disclaimer-I'm only joking and I know he is still a Liverpool player etc etc.

I hope the Degen going to Stuttgart thing is true. A truly abysmal player.

You wonder what the scouts/managers see in him, or ever saw in him.

He does provide a good attacking outlet going forward but no use when he is always injured - guess it will be less physical in the german league . Good luck to him .

Be honest, if the Manc's or for that matter any other club with similar aspirations had signed him, would you be emphasising his "good attacking outlet" qualities, or would you be in your element laughing at what a sh!te player they had signed?

a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of 2010/2011.
if he has an season full of injuries he'll be sent packing back to us then.
shame really as we could have done with a few quid:(

I am still prone to spontaneous fits of laughter over Poborsky

I was in no way suggesting he is good enough for us or any top team as the guy can't defend at all but I can see why some lower clubs in Germany etc would be interested in him due to his pace and does bomb up the right with a lot of attacking intent and he will prob slip right into one of those lower teams
