Yellow card for you sunshine if you persist on staying on or returning to thread topics.

rotation, rotation, rotation.

so your a bully moderator? threaten people with yellow cards becuase they are expressing their opinion?, if you persist ill be starting a thread to get your mod status removed, but then again, who would vote against you, some of you are so far up each others árses, they dont know whos árse is whos anymore.

I appreciate the defence, but he was displaying tongue in cheek sarcasm, see Lando I do understand the lowest form of wit; I just prefer not to use it.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Man Citeh replaced Liverpool as one of the big four

I cannot believe some of the opinions on here at the moment. There is no way some of these people have supported the Club any longer than 25-5-05. We've been through worse times than 4, yes 4 poor games, resulting in ONE fcking loss, get a grip ffs.

Back to topic (go on, Leon, card me! :D )...

Crouch has started 3 of 4 in the Champions League so far, which tells me that Rafa still considers him as part of his plans.  He's certainly not been getting a game in the league, though, so either he's become a cup specialist or we haven't yet played a team that Rafa wants to use him against for tactical reasons.

BTW, I'm on the fence with Crouch.  While I can't deny that he's contributed some very important things--including key goals--to the team in the past, I don't feel he should be in a first-choice strike pairing if indeed we are going to follow some people's suggestion and start to a play a settled side to regain stability.

That doesn't detract from the fact its a Peter Crouch thread, he never has been and never will be good enough.

Stu thats your opinion and fair enough you back it up with reasons.
But AT THIS MOMENT (bearing in mind we didnt sign Ashton or Anelka) would you give him more of a look in ?
I agree that we signed him at a time when he was needed and now as we have more money and a better chance of signing a better quality of player then fair enough we could do better.
But, we do have to wait until January and at this moment he deserves more of a chance than he has been given.

By the way Heimdall, you are not on anyone's wavelength lad, not the rotationalists or the anti-rotationalists, some of the rubbish you are spouting is what gives Rafa's supporters there amunition against fans going OTT about a few results and rotation. Try and be a bit more sensible lad.

I don't buy this argument about Crouch not being match fit.  Look at Benayoun for example, he hasn't had much game time but has played well and caused problems and even scored when called upon.  That's what Rafa meant by being ready!  Kuyt has had plenty of game time but hasn't produced.  In which case Rafa should drop him and give Crouch a run in the team.  I honestly feel that we should be thinking about a signing a new striker and/or playing Babel up top.  Crouch and Kuyt just don't do the business.  They don't provide a genuine threat as a striker should even though they have other qualities.

Not sure you have read all the thread mate, as i have been saying its not all just about being fit.
Its also about confidence, that comes from playing, feeling like you belong and scoring goals, it doesnt come from being left out of a massive cup final, then the manager signing two rival players for your position...then playing them ahead of you in most games.....then, asking you to play in a one off game and produce the business, someone explain to me how that is going to make Crouch play well ? Or feel like he has a future at the club ?

No I wouldn't. Because he's not good enough and for my money will cost us points. I don't particualarly rate Voronin either and Kuyt isn't the answer for me but both are better than Crouch.

If I'm being honest, at the moment, I'd try Bennayoun off Torres, we do desperately need Kewell back aswell.

Robbie Keane was electric the other day, another player I'd like us to look at, sharp with vision and intelligence.

I reckon Crouch will jump ship, he's not getting the games, he's not producing the performances he's capable of (for the lack of game time, confidence or whatever reason you care to add) and Rafa will keep rotating!

i still say that crouch was minutes away from going to newcastle in the summer, thats why hes not playing, he was never in our plans for this season... dunno who was. id still like to see defoe.

i just dont think crouch is good enough. everyone goes on about him having a good first touch, but the amount of times ive seen the ball flash off his shinpads is mad.

just an opinion like
