More chance of Sunderland getting into Europe.

don't talk c.rap

I know, silly of me to mention Sunderland and Europe in the same sentance.

But you have nil chance of winning the league.

we do not have NIL chance of winning the league, we're very capable of doing so if we improve our consistency, possibly anyway

dward dont make a statement and dont back it up....at least i give a fair explanation as to why i made that comment...so your saying thats the type of performance an arsenal or chelsea would deliver, no they wouldnt, they would have won that game 3/4-0 because they are realistic title contenders.

How so?

Did Rafa not tell the team to take it easy in the first half of last weeks game against boro? We still don't have the strength in depth to drop key players. Is it so outlandish to think a manager might actually want to keep his players fresh for another game in 3 days and then another 3 days later?  I think when you've read 'hold back' you've misinterpreted me. I don't mean hold back as in don't attack - i mean hold back as in don't exert yourselves, save your energy.

At what point did we play badly? The only time we gave the ball away was when a lone player tried something fancy (namely Garcia) and never looked like the game wasn't out of our control. Again, we had numerous chances that on another day would have gone in (Gerrard hit the post, Zenden wasted a header, Cisse could have had 3!).

Majority of your comments are knee-jerk reactions. Morientes is quality and is a long way off from absolute sh!te. Cisse played on the right wing and left wing for a spell - he is a forward. Admittedly, he missed chances - Gerrard missed a hatful last week, does he also not have real class?

Rafa's own words -  "I'm not overly worried about the chances the strikers missed. We could have scored three or four goals today but that happens some times.
"I used Cisse on the right wing but that is not his position. That is why I am looking for a right winger."

We AIN'T gonna win the prem this year - fact. As i've said before, i'm more interested in progress. Again, I think I saw it today. Beat a lower team without breaking much of a sweat.

Did you see our game vs Charlton? I very much doubt it, so you will be unable to comment about how much we have improved from last week to this, hopefully we will improve futher and *hopefully* pick up our first points against Citeh in midweek and then against Wigwam next Saturday.

I am also very aware that 17th would be a cracking place for Sunderland to finish, we have been tipped here there and everywhere to go down, and it is very much a reality.

Whereas, it is very hard to look past Chelsea for the title...but on that note:

Ha'way the Gooners!

Feeney is right, I doubt that any of our players wanted to play  in 5th gear against Sunderland when we have two games in one week. We played in cruise control and got the job done.
