peewee wrote:I think we can spend all day talking about players we dont have or how good they would be in our team, but seriously what is the point?

There is no guarantee they would fit in, or indeed actually be played in their best position with this manager. Let's concentrate on what we have and let's concentrate how poorly they are performing, everything else is just fantasy. The fact is we have an expensive squad built by rafa and he still doesnt know how to get us playing football

:D i thought you were actually on rafa's side for initially than i read your last line , never fail to disappoint pee wee

nothing wrong with debating about potential players - gotta be better than constantly slagging off certain players and the manager

not really mate, you live in a fantasy world all you want while the rest of us focus on the problems we actually have. If we were any good then there would be no need to fantasize would there?

Fantasy world ?? just cause everytime i post it isnt a negative or a post slagging of our manager or one of our players doesnt mean im in fantasy land . not fanatsizing on anything at all just not beinig constantly negative about Liverpool Football Club like you are .

I prefer to think more realistically and support the players and managers - Thank god they dont read this place or other forums cause they would just stick two fingers up to people like you saying feck them all im out of here .

For years Liverpool Fans supported the players the manager no matter what was happening on the pitch - We had those bad years with Souness and the trophyless times with evans and even when GH was winning trophies people still slagged players and managers off , same now with Rafa and his bunch - either people are fickle and expectations high above what is realistic or they are just born whingers. Back in the 80s those people would be told to shut the feck up and if you dont support the club ,manager and players no matter what then go support the BS.

My grandad has stopped going to matches now cause of half the :censored: beinig spouted by people and the disgraceful way some of our players and our manager gets treated by fans , and my uncle is getting close to stoppping going

oh the old " you mustn't be a real fan" defence and 'go and support someone else"

have fun fantasizing mate, but let me just point to one thing, your positives thread is very small, it seems not many people have positives.

when they give me something to be positive about then i will be positive. thats not rocket science.

i remember when i was younger i would refuse to find fault with the club, then i grew up and saw the faults for what they are, and lo and behold i was right, how long is is it now since we had a title win?

and as for the players well they need to hear from fans like me to let them know they are not performing, imagine if everyone told them how great they are doing they would accept the mediocrity they are at now.

i don't know you, maybe you are a kid who knows no different, maybe you have never seen a title won, maybe your expectations are much lower than mine.

you carry on turning a blind eye, thats your right, just as its mine to as it as i see it, but don't question my support, that never wavers

ok you think my honesty is tedious, well mate i hate to burst your bubble but your inability to find fault is just as tedious to me so lets draw a line under our flirting and feel free to ignore my posts

Seen plnety of titles won -seeing been going to games since late 70s . and the difference is your so negative about everything you refuse to see what people are saying to you in response to your rants about the club . The players would tell fans like you - to :censored: off - i think they understand more about the game than negative fans like you . Support ? never seen anything apart from negative from you ? not turned a blind eye to anything , i know we have faults - just dont bloody whinge and complain about them on a daily basis and slag off everyone to do with the club .

Owen would have been a good signing , deffo better than keane , if he manages to stay injury free we've got 2 top class strikers , for 3 to 5 million for owen as well . 20 million could have been used to buy quaresma and a striker for cover ?

But isnt muntari more of the masher and gerrard type as opposed to the more creative xbai type ?

And its a big if with owen about staying fit - plus his wages would be massive as well .

How much did quaesrma go for ? thought him alone was going for more than 20 mil ?

Xabi as creative , you're having a laugh mate , maybe on football manager he is with a 20 passing and creativity . Muntari can play both and we were rumored to be signing him in Jan for 8 million . I'd rather we had muntari as now , with stevie injured he could have at least stepped up . Owen will stay fit , he's been getting less injured over the months and he's a class striker , netted both winners for newcastle in their last 2 games , at he'd probably play better with us as newcastle nad have :censored: players to provide service for him . We would have gerrard where he formed such a great partnership with him and understanding  . He would be willing to take a pay cut to come back to us , i reckon  . As for quaresma he went for 15 million , i read it on the sky website .

xabi creative...

Benitez expresses fears about the new City

Rafael Benitez has admitted that Manchester City are a threat to the status quo of the Premier League's big four and could cause high inflation in the transfer market.

For Benitez, the stunning capture of Robinho for a British record transfer fee could have set in motion a chain of events that will blow the accepted 'big four' wide open.

'You cannot just win the title by spending money but Chelsea won for two years spending big, big money. Afterwards Manchester United won spending lots of money too,' he said.

'If we are talking about spending money then maybe Manchester City will win the title this year.

'It is not just a question of money but if you have more money it is easier. If you don't have too much money, you must do the job as best you can.

'If we are talking now, maybe they (City) need time but if we talk in January maybe they will buy five players...then you never know.

'But it is not just a question of 'I will invest more and I will win'. You cannot guarantee anything.'

Benitez fears a hike in transfer fees involving English clubs as a result of City's cash bonanza as happened when Roman Abramovich took over Chelsea in 2003.

'Prices could rise,' said Benitez as he unveiled £8million signing Albert Riera, himself a former City player.

'That could be a problem. You cannot change these things but you try and get the players you want as cheap as possible, even when prices go higher.'

Not an excuse Rock - the new owners at Manc City will undoubtedly outbid even Chelsea - money will be no object which means there is a serious threat in terms of bids and wages on offer - Robhionio's on £160,000 pw - crazy !  We need DIC to come in to compete !

Though I hear that Pele said Robinhio needs counselling for joining city :D Whilst the man himself seriously gaffed when he said he was relieved to have joined 'Chelsea' and was duly reminded he joined City :D
