So you think pennants not getting picked cause rafa doesnt like him ? Or maybe its cause him and his coaches think he isnt good enough and is purely back up if someone is injured ?

That has something to do with it....

He's a half decent right winger, who with games, can provide us with a very strong right side.

Without games, he's going to look balls.

If your at a football club and the manager is telling you too :censored: off or be played in the reserves, are you going to think your in his good books? ???  Sadly mistaken if you do!

Or maybe he just doesnt think your good enough to help the team progress and its nothing  personal at all. Plenty of players have been sold cause they are not good enough or the manager thinks arent good enough and not because they arent in rafas good books.

I'd consider playing him again next week if Nando is still out. His performances against Chelsea have, bizarrely, been excellent over the last two years. He's the only player I've seen give Ashley Cole the runaround on more than one occasion.

I don't think personal reasons are involved.

I don't think Pennant is a bad player, btw. He started very slowly in the club, then he progressed, it was acknowledged that progress by the majority of newkit, and Pennant even said he was frustrated  for not playing for England. At some point, Pennant played well at this club.

Then a bad patch, and he dissappeared of the team.

I don't think that Rafa dislikes him, if he does, it must be because how he trains or how he takes some decissions in games.

For instance the last game of his, I would consider it good if he hadn't done a couple of bad passes that led to a counter and a :no gesture from Carra. With those mistakes I consider his game decent.

That said, I think that we don't have many options in the right if Gerrard doesn't want to play there or Rafa doesn't think it's a viable option any more. It surprised me that Rafa wanted to offload Pennant without bringing someone else.

On another note - every time el zhar has come on he has looked threatening and provided a useful outlet- i would play him before pennant.

:O
Every thing that ElZhar does, pennant does and does it better.. they are very similar players and the only thing thats different about ElZhar is that he seeems to lose the ball more often...
u got a thing for guys who lose their balls often or sumthing ?!

For me El Zhar seems to be a better option going by what i have seen every time he gone on as a sub - changed a few games and is very direct with his running. you keep saying pennant can do this that and the other - yes he may have the ability but when does he ever show it - not much when he has been with us. As someone has said think playing for a brum club etc would be the right level for him.

When does he ever get a chance to show it? ????
