I think he'll be a good addition to the coaching staff.  He was one of the best in the business as a player when it came to zonal marking and he could help eradicate what was a major weakness for us this past season.

agree with you there.....he WAS a great player...sadly we never got to see that here. Mind you, he was better than Paletta!

you can only say what he was like when he was with us.....and for he was not that good. he had a poor understanding of the English game and i feel that is still going to be the case.

Lakes mate i agree with you that he was not all that good when he was playing for us, but if the reports are true, and was indeed instrumental in the implementation of the zonal marking then i think that the gafa has done well to bring him back. I am not arguing the merits of zonal marking, rather i am merely suggesting rafa has decided to go all out for the league with the resources that we have and linking with Pellegrino would enable him to achieve this. With the coming of 3 new faces in our defensive line up, and the return of Agger i feel this is a very crucial signing. On a speculative note, can you see how things are panning out, the targets that we have signed so far are right and left back, and with agger coming back, the defensive department are all back at Melwood and now Pellegrino, the team can serious start working on the defence which was a big disappointment last season.

That will be an asset, Alonso, Torres, Arbeloa and Reina all speak Spanish as does the manager and maybe one or two others. Plus Pellegrino knows the English game like the back of someone else's hand, he knows how to defend despite never showing Liverpool fans any evidence and let's have an Anfield legend or world class ex-player - or maybe not

But at least he speaks Spanish!
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

jean michel ferri has been brought back as a scout

his 55 minutes of first team experience in the red shirt made him the ideal candidate to scour vast and exotic lands across the globe in search of tomorrow's salif diouf
we've only won it 5 times
