The Pellegrino Falcon flies into the sunset...

It was a hard job for him to come in mid-season (when we were doing poor) and expect him to adapt instantly, but thanks for trying mate!

He was well and truly past it when he arrived at Anfield, and his performances proved that.  I seriously doubt he would get into the Everton Ladies team on his current form.  That said, good luck to the guy, he has had an outstanding career, should have really called it a day a lot sooner though.

He was one of Rafa's BIG mistakes. Buying over the hill players in the hope of a last hurrahh practically never works at this level (McAllister aside), especially in a new league.

But I think it was worth the try though as we were thin at that position and not much choice then.

Well we got him on a free so we can't complain too much. He had a few good games but eas just too slow for the Prem.

Wish him all the best in the future

yeah the prem was a bit quick for someone of his age used to the spanish league.
apparently he was quite close to benitez on a personal level so obviously rafa`s not scared of making the tough decisions.

Yeah, pelle was only ever a short term fix.  Bringing him in gave hyypia a much needed rest for a bit and allowed him to get back to his best form of a few seasons ago.  Smart move by rafa.  All the best to pelle

not really suprised to see him go really, was always a short term solution. I think Pellegrino got a huge culture shock plaing in the prem and really wasnt ready for the pace of the league.
