Owen t o be a galactico in 48 hrs

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

In business negotations, everything is black & white. Even if Owen promised that he would sign, the board should have made sure he did. Instead, they believed him, waited, waited & waited. Now they are paying the price.

Well at least they have signed the "new god" gerrard to a contract. Because of this, i shall not be too harsh on them.

I don't understand why you all disrespect a man who has done so much for the club. Do I have to remind you all of FA 2001?

Anyways, 10 million is too little for Owen, he won't go for that.

Looks like a £8m + Nunez (rightsided midfielder) deal according to teamtalk.com

I don't trust the internet. Remember everyone said that Gerrard was going to Chelski for certain but it never happened.

How do you know that Owen doesn't love the club? He's been here for 13 years, unless you're Owen himself or somebody close to him then your post is pointless though it is your opinion.

his action staling on a contract knowing we have to sell him or he could sign a pre contract elsewhere in january  the ball was always in owen court not giving benitzes a chance.

If Owen leaves, he will be a sub and wouldn't it be something if Diouf score more goals than Owen this year because it seems Diouf cost more than Owen now lol:p

I don't think that would happen, all four strikers would get twenty games.

Yeah, that's the question. People speculate for commercial purposes only such as increase in jersey selling and advertising fees etc. Ronaldo and Raul is definitely going to start. Raul is the captain and he is not going to take a backseat to Owen. As for Morientes, he had proven himself as a very good striker in Li liga and it would be tough for Owen to get many games. I think REal miscalculate because not many people would buy the Owen Jersey if he is moved to Real. For one, I think lots of English fans would be turned off. I for myself would be getting a Cisse, Alonso, Garcia or even Nunez jersey instead.:D

If Owen leaves then I am getting a Gerrard jersey for sure but like you said Raul and Ronaldo will start for sure, plus there is Figo and Morientes. So Owen will be screwed if he goes to Real.

Is Owen as good a money spinner as Beck's.
I doubt it.

Is Owen as good a striker as Ronaldo and Raul or Morientes?
I doubt it.

Is Real crazy to buy Owen?
Yes.

Does Owen love Liverpool?
Ask A.B.  Owen did not tell me all this 12 years. :p

Am I happy that Real takes Owen?
Yes. But for 9mil and a reserve player, I wished it was Eto'o. :D
