Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Igor Zidane » Mon Apr 03, 2006 5:42 pm

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I definately don't want chelsea to win the league and i certainly don't want the manc's to win the league. So how's about this, they are both to bothered about each other and we sneek up behind them and do the double. WE CAN ALL DREAM CAN'T WE.
UP THE PURPS !!!

I'll go back to what I said before. This season, our main objective was to get in amongst Chelsea Manure and Arsenal and to close the gap.
Job done (well almost) if you ask me.
We're looking solid at the back, solid in midfield and at last the strikers are delivering the goods.
If someone said to me back in august that by Easter :
Cisse will have scored 15 goals, Crouch 12, Gerrard 19, Garcia 9,
We'll be in the FA Cup semi final,
we''ll have been on a record breaking winning streak,
we'll have been on a record breaking run of clean sheets,
we'll be 12 points above Arsenal
we'll have won the Super Cup,
and of course, we'll have resigned God -
Then I'll have took it.

You're not the only one mate!  :D

All those who talk of "it's a bad season if you don't win the league" need to wake up.

We haven't been champions of England for 16 years, and yet we still have a trophy haul better than 90% of our peers.

We are moving upwards and onwards, to a higher ground now.

Objective at the start of the season: Make the "top 3" a "top four".

Well seeing as we're 12 points above one of the "top 3", and are currently in 3rd, despite having a dire run from our strikers, I'd say we've surpassed that already, barring a blip bigger than Equatorial New Guinea.

Add to this an FA Cup Semi, the Super Cup, and a reasonable run in the CL which ended at the same point as Sh*tski, and after Man Scum, and you'd struggle to find any compelling arguements to the contrary.

Liverpool FC are starting a dynasty.

Sit back and enjoy it.  :nod  :buttrock  :buttrock  :bowdown

at the start of the season, i said i wanted a top 3 finish...and now thats all but completed, i'm happy with that.  We've come a LONG way from last season and hopefully we will have an FA cup final to look forward to.  Realisticly, i doubt anyone expected us to challenge for the league.

Looking over this topic it doesnt suprise me that Alfonso Alonso (aka Hustler) is posting his nonsense.Even if we did win the premiership next year he'd still criticise the team probably saying :censored: like Utd won it in more style when they were winning it time and time again. A champions league under his belt last season, 3rd in the league this year and playing for the f.a cup still i personally couldnt ask for more. We are headed in the right direction and any person with knowledge in the game can see that Rafa has more than steadied a ship that was slowly sinking under Gerrard Houllier. Like i have said before Hustler if your not satisfied with our great club i suggest you go and support your local side.

For me, overall it's a GOOD improvement in a big picture.
