Sami, 10 years younger. Because he is an absolute LEGEND, and the best defender to grace the Premiership over the last 10 years in my opinion.

Are you on a wind-up? He's clearly not better than Carragher, and I don't even think that, given the choice, I would pick him ahead of Ferdinand or even Terry.

I love him too but he's one of these players who is not much on his own and needs to play with someone better on his side.

I'm :censored: sick of Agger and his constant moaning about contracts. He can :censored: right off this summer. We're one center back short of having the best defensive line in the PL. Imagine

Aurelia - Carra - Prieto - Sktrel
Reina

With hyppia to come of the bench if we need him (i thought Skrtel was boss against Boro at RB)

Mate im not a European scout or anythin but I have no idea who Prieto is. Care to enlighten us?

Holy sh*tballs mate, you thought Skrtel had a good game against Boro? Downing tortured him that day.

He's being talked about as the next big thing in Spain. More of a new school centre back, light on his feet, fast, and a good passer. I think that's what is needed. Could be Liverpool's Vidic.

I can't have been the only one that noticed Downing's persistent fowling of Skrtel, and many of our other players that day. And his contatn fannying about on the ground. Not that I'm expecting the refs to ever do us any favours about these things.

I watch a reasonable amount of manc games with my best mate who supports that shower, and he's certainly looked at times to be playing more like a sweeper of old, bringing the ball out of defence with pace and precision.

Didn't we have a bid for him before the Mancs got to his agent?

I think Agger has to go, his relationship with Rafa looks terminally broken and he hasn't handled being out of the side very gracefully. It's exactly that kind of thing that destroys player cohesion - we could have a Gallas mk2 on our hands. Prieto all the way.

Vidic

7 goals

all those clean sheets

plus a hugely popular and influential player amongst the team and manc fans

sounds a little bitter to deny he would be a worthy candidate for PFA winner
