Would you want us to sign one big signing or are you happy for a larger number of lesser names? Or basically would you prefer quantity over quality or vice versa?

Personally I feel we need to sign quality, one or two big names like Berbatov, Arshavin, Santa Cruz or Bentley rather than a plethora of mid-priced players who may well get lost amongst the mediocrity we already have. I don't want another Pennant, let's sign one of the best in the position not someone who's available and might work out. Torres has proved a massive success, you have to pay for quality and these days mediocrity come decent comes at too high a price (Pennant £6.7m, Barry £12m, Diouf £10m etc)

I'm not sure we can really go with another spending season like last with Torres, Mascherano and Babel. Barry looks like he'll be a lot more than I had in mind in calling them "lesser signings", if we're spending £21m on a Torres plus two or three "lesser" players at £12m each then we'll be spending up to £57m. And if that were the case I'd go for three big names at £19m each (average)

According to Rafa, we have a deep squad already.

Lots of signings make sense when you have a lot of gaps in a squad, but once you have a deep one, you need very specific signings. And I hope this summer will be different in that.

TBH, I don't want a big name. Big names don't always mean they'll be a hit. Torres was sort of a big name, but he was low on the radar at the time for most big signings until we grabbed him. I keep saying it: it's not about the big name player, but the right player. We need a quality winger the most. If we sign one cracking wide player this summer, I'll be over the Moon.

Its well over due we sign some top quality players, I'd take one over a few gap fillers, but two would sit better with me.

I agree with ER regarding this, if the player we sign turns out to be the right one then I'm happy. It would have been pointless signing a 'big name' like Torres if he turned out to be sh!te. Only problem is we don't know how much is available off the owners so we can only speculate, suppose it's a good thing though because clubs could just hold us to ransom

Crouch, Carson and Penant could pay for Barry and to be honest then some as well.

So the TV money etc should see us in a position for a Humdinger of a signing and I would be delighted to see one, even without the yanks or Alonso going we should be able to spend about 30 million

So Deggen, Barry and please oh please someone over 20 million.

I didn't vote, I'd like us to sign at least three top quality signings - don't know where that fits in with the poll. Which positions and players depends on the market.
