Deal has just gone thru.  Its official...Dirk Kuyt is a Liverpool player.  He's got the number 18 shirt.

IT'S OFFICIAL

Dirk Kuyt today completed his move from Feyenoord to Liverpool with manager Rafael Benitez insisting: "He'll score a lot of goals for us." 
The Dutch international has officially put pen to paper on his Anfield deal and could be in line to make an instant debut at Sheffield United tomorrow.
 
Benitez has been tracking the 26 year old striker for some time and he admits he's relieved to have finally got his man.
 
He said: "I am really happy. We were looking at Dirk for a long time and I'm pleased we have signed him because he will be a good player for us.
 
"He's a player with good game intelligence. He knows what to do with the ball and without the ball and he's also a very good worker.
 
"His movement is good, his finishing is fantastic and I know he will score a lot of goals for us because we now have more possibilities in the wide areas and also between the lines."
 
Kuyt, who will wear number 18, becomes the sixth new face to arrive at Anfield over the summer and while the manager is more than pleased with his new signings, he is keen to pay tribute to those players who have left the club since the end of last season.
 
He added: "I would like to say thankyou to all of them. We have sold some players and others have left on loan but they have all given a lot of good things to the club over recent years and I'd like to wish them good luck with their new clubs.
 
"It was important for us to strengthen this season and I'm really pleased with the backing we've had from the board.
 
"We've signed players who haven't been really expensive but who are of good quality and who we know will do a good job for us."

and one of our dutch friends has said in another thread the fee is 12mil pounds. On the sky sports website it does says undisclosed. I think it will have been between 9 and 12million.

Surely it couldnt of been 12mil...if rafa was unwilling to go much higher than 8mil and feyenoord apparently asking for 10mil how could it end up 12!
