Personal bias aside, Liverpool has a lot of talent.
We do not use it well. We lack mental toughness
Who therefore is at fault? Of course Houllier is

PS, bring back Henchoz, even thought he stepped outside the boundary.
Why,.. cos he wants to win and win for the fans of Liverpool

Stu The Red's comments regarding possibly finishing 4th and GH staying and given more money to spend is a lone voice in here and I've supported him when many others have had a go but this time I'm afraid I'll have to disagree. As an admirer of GH as a person and obviously a man who cares passionatly about Liverpool FC whatever others say about him in here, its simply in my opinion the right time to part company with GH and look for a manager who is tactically more staute and has the support of the fans and pobably more importantly the players at this great club. As mentioned in here previously its NOT the Arsenal result but the form over the last 2 seasons and ultimatly in this game, its the manager who takes the rap. He's given me some of my best times watching LFC, 2001 and the Worthington Cup win over Man U being special moments but it would appear he has been found out not so much by the strong sides in the Prem but many of the weaker ones too. Soton doingt he double over us, Portsmouth beating us twice, draws at Leicster , Leeds, Wolves, City, Bolton and Villa have cost us dear. Yes, we have had key players out injured but even with the strongest possible 11 this manager doesn't seem to get the best out of his players. throwing yet more money at the situation when he's hardly been astute in the past doesn't fill me with great optimism Stu and although I commend your loyalty, I believe its now misguided. Please dont see this as an personal attack, its just my opinion. Walk on man cos i know despite the rough risde you get in here you care passionatly about his club  :D

Results this season

Top Three : P5 W1 D0 L4 (W20%, D0%, L80%)
Top Half : P13 W4 D2 L7 (W31%, D15%, L54%)
Bottom Half : P19 W9 D8 L2 (W47%, D42% L11%)
Bottom Three : P6 W3 D3 L0 (W50%, D50%, L0%)

Just goes to show we are not cutting it against top half teams and that makes up 5 of our last 6 fixtures. Quite an interesting pattern emerging, though failing to win more than 50% in any category is pretty poor.

Using the above as a predictor -

Man Utd - 80% chance we'll lose.

Charlton, Fulham, Birmingham & Newcastle - 31% chance we'll win any one of those fixtures, 54% chance we'll lose any one of those fixtures

Middlesboro - 47% chance we'll win, 42% chance we'll draw

However, we have won 9/15 home games so the probability of us winning a home game is arguably 60% while we have won only 4/17 away games (24%) and drawn 8/15 away games (53%). Using this as a guideline we have a good chance of beating Newcastle, Charlton and Fulham, though we have lost to the top three at home and deeper analysis of home form could also come into the equation. 7 of the 9 home wins have come against teams in the bottom half of the table, thus negating much of the meaning of home form.

Put simply my friends, it doesn't look good

I mean how s##t can you get not beating one europes best an englands best side on there own pitch.

its totaly unnacceptable.

If you are being sarcastic, then why?

Arsenal are a much smaller club and they have beaten us home and away this season and that is totally unacceptable.
And whoever is willing to accept that is a armchair supporter who has forgot what Liverpool FC is all about

Roberts ? I dont accept that Arsenal are a bigger club but I acknowledge they play much better football than us at the moment. You need a reality check if you seriously believe Arsenal are an inferior club than Liverpool ??? There is a risk here that we will develop what I know only as "Spurs" or "Everton" syndrome which is believing that you are a "Big " club and forgetting you have to EARN the right to points by playing better than the opposition. Arsenal are on a  different level to LFC at the moment and that is FACT. Also stating that those that dont agree with you  are armchair suppporters is, well just petty and thats coming from a Season ticket Holder on the Kop and as many Away games as I can afford/get tickets for etc.... :D

I am not denying Arsenal are a better team but in reality they are a smaller club, attendances and overall support proves that, there are more Liverpool supporters in North London than Arsenal so that says it all.

Says What exactly ? Forset in the late 70's averaged 23,000 every HOME game but still managed to win the league and European Cup !!!!!!

As i said - BIG doesn't win you anything in Football and i'm struggling to understand your point. I suspect your clutching at straws mate , its a bit like being hammered and on your way home in the Car turning to your mates and saying "Well at least we outsung them and we are a BIGGER club you know !!!!!!

A big club is the one that has more points.
And currently that would be Arsenal.

:)   Simplicity itself.

The blueshite average something like 38,000 much like Arsenal. "Big" and "successful" aren't often the same thing

My point is as a bigger club we should be a lot higher up than we are now, for a club our size to be struggling to secure a Champions League place is a disgrace

Right so judging by your theory Crewe Alexandra(division 1) average 5,000 every home game while Sheffield Wednesday(division 2) average 30,000 so Crewe are the bigger club.
Lets face it we know Crewe are a much smaller club but at the moment they ARE A BETTER TEAM, and that is the same equivalent to Liverpool and Arsenal at the moment.
Arsenal are easily a much smaller club and only a blind man cant see that but they are a BETTER TEAM.
And for a club of Liverpools size to be struggling to hold on to 4th place is simply pathetic, no matter what happens this season whether we finish 4th or not this season has simply been a f##king disgrace

I agree with you there mate.
Liverpool are a big club and its a disgrace to be fighting for 4th place.
You shouldnt be saying that LFC are a bigger club because of how big the attendance is remember arsenal are building a new stadium. Better judge on trophys won.
