Next season's ideal eleven - What would be your realistic 11?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

one reason for priortising him is because he is a top class player which is what we are looking for isn't it?

Oh by the way I can use the bold button as well.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

And I don't think Richards cares less who City bring in because trophies are much more realistic with Liverpool and every player wants to win trophies. Plus Champions League football is very difficult for any player to turn down.

I didn't say don't buy a player who has ever been injured, I am saying that if a player has had a long term injury and knee surgery, you should see how he comes back before signing him.

And it doesn't really matter if he wants to come to liverpool or not, its up to the CLUB to let him go, (remember Gabi Heinze), and if the club is adding players and has high aspirations they aren't going to sell their top young talent.

EVERY player has their price. If Richards wanted to leave City he would.

We were under new management but Michael Owen still left...why? Becuase he wanted to go.

We'd just won the european cup but Gerrard nearly left...why? Because he wanted to go.

If Richards wants to join Liverpool and Liverpool want Micah Richards then Micah Richards will be a Liverpool player.

I'd also take a close look at both Hleb and Flamini. Awesome players and we could sell off Alonso and make a tidy profit. I think both can leave for free after this season.

you sure ? How do you know That?

Valencia is resting in 16th place just above relegation with class players. Don't you think that players like Villa, Joaquin, Silva etc want to play in europe? We are Poolencia for :censored: sake. Who has a better chance than us in getting them to join our team?

Rafa also has good connections with Valencia.

Yes I think Players like Villa, silva and joaquin as well as many others will like to play in Europe. But it does not imply "many players leaving the club" and joinning liverpool Lfc for instance. Which seems a very spreed  comment (Valencia should  not being understimated) .Valencia is really f*** up at this moment, but still a big club and with all my respect , is very unrealistic  to think Half of Valencia team leaving Valencia mad  for joining LFC, Do not make me wrong but I can not see more than a couple of top players leaving valencia, and maybe one of them going abroad.(Italian calcio also exits! and juan de Ramos! and Chelsea! and Arsenal!).
Rafa knows very well Spanish football and players of course, but  he has many less connections than people usually think in England trust me. However, I really would like to see Silva playing for LFC.Joaquin will never leave Spain and Villa will play for Madrid or Barcelona as first choices. What make special and attractive LFC to Spanish football players is not only Benitez (what it is usually said) and Benitez knows that perfectly His greatest achievement in this sense has been  to make LFC very atracctive to Spaniard players in a very, very intelligent way since his first season in England and as part of a long term plan, this is obvioulsly my very personnal opinion

A year on and i must admit i was mistaken about Kewell i would like him to sign a new contract and keep the option of him making the high impact comeback that we all wanted this season, but to rely on him to is silly, we need a new left winger... David Silva perhaps

Bentley i'm sure would be a great signing as i'm sure Ashley Young would be, we do need another some more 8 figure signings this coming transfer window, chelsea are man utd will be spending big money again. Unfortunatly we are still playing catch up, we're getting better at it though and thus a few more big signings will do us a world of good.

All th CB's are great as are th CM's and Torres, we need to spend big out wide however.

No more cheap option that might come good (Pennant, Gonzalez [spelling?!], Benayoun) and no more playin strikers there as a stop gap (Diouf, Cisse, Babel, Kuyt) we need to spend money on real quality wide players.

In answer to the post:

                  Reina

Finnan   Agger    Carra   Lahm

           Masch    Alonso

Bentley       Gerrard        Silva

                 Torres

I think we should trim th squad down too, make sure the players rafa is rotating in to the side are decent.

Defenders to keep: Hyypia, Skrtel, Riise, Arbeloa

Mids: Kewell, Pennant, Lucas

Forwards: Babel, Kuyt

Spend money making sure that players rotated in are almost as good as they're 1st team counteroart.

The mancs can rotate Rooney with Tevez we get to rotate Torres with Crouch or Voronin.

Chelski- Drogba with Anelka (& to a less extent Sheva)

anyway random ramble over

I agree with you there duk. Our first eleven, depending on what people think it is, isnt too far off the big 3's in terms of quality. Its the quality of the squad which is far behind.

Mendez from PSV is also a player that is extremly undervalued in my opinion. A player that could play really well out wide. Not young but he wouldn't cost much either.

I haven't followed him this season though so something may have happened to him.

I've been watching Zenit this year and they have some great talents.  I hope that Rafa is aware of some of them, especially since we've bought Skertl from there.  They really demolished Bayern today.  Pogrebniyak, Zyrianov and Arshavin especially stand out for me.

Ive heard of that Zyrianov lad before hes supposed to be good. Do you think they are all Premirship top 4 team quality?

Back to Valencia do you think it may be worth trying for Joaquin again ahead of Bently?

surely Valencia would rather sell to an English club than to Real Madrid, wouldn't they?
