So is Ronaldo, Dawson , but I would still like him to play for us.

Robben's best form has been on the left, at Groningen, at PSV, at Chelsea and with Holland.
He can play on the right, but he'd coming inside an awful lot. Our fullbacks are hardly the most marauding and I think we'd lose natural width as a consequence. If his right foot was a fair bit stronger, I'd be more comfortable seeing him on the right, but it's not.
He's a natural left winger.

Will never happen I know, and probably a few controversial ones in there!
My thinking is that Bentley and Petrov have been the 2 best wide players in the premiership for end-product this season (after Ronaldo obviously). Bentley is quality imo and his all-round game has really improved, whereas Petrov at 29 would be good for a season or two and we could probably get him as any part of a Crouch deal.
Alves and Modric are both exciting players, which is something we have a lack of, and will both probably move to bigger clubs this summer.
Probably overall that team would be way beyond our budget, but what the hell!

Great to see you posting again John.
Interesting lineup, however if I were Benitez I would try to sign the David Silva fella from Valencia to play on the left, he is unhappy in Valencia because of their poor form and we can get him up to 11m because Valencia would be looking to sell if he wants to leave.

Maybe pick up Adriano(Inter) Santos (Barca) N'Zogbia (Newc)or Bale (Spurs) if the price is right but I think we're muting panic buys at present
To fund buys: Xabi, Kuyt, Hypia, Kewell
