Next Season's Home Shirt - All Discussion of the New Strip Here

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Ace Ventura » Mon Jun 23, 2008 6:52 pm

I really dont mind paying £40 for a shirt and dont mind them changing each season, if i bought any other item of clothing within a year i would be bored of it and want something new anyway. So with football shirts i am the same, always look forward to new shirts coming out. Apart from this season when i wont be buying for obvious reasons.

I can see the argument coming from parents who have to shell out each time, but from a selfish point of view i look forward to new tops coming out each season.

I think we wore the Black one in Marseille, the team was looking scary good that night, I would have been afraid to play.

Torres goal

If you notice in the replay, when he goes by the 2nd defender, he puts his arm in the air. He is so blown away by Torres talent his body doesn't know what to do, so I guess he tries to signal offside??? who knows what he was thinking with that.

Also because it was in France, there was no sponsor on the shirt, making it look even more black

So do most people buy the new shirt every year?  Home, away and 3rd strip too?  And what size shirt collection do people have after years of doing this? ???  Some of your wardrobes must look like the club museum. :D

I dont buy them all mate but some do, if i like it i buy it.
I suppose i have bought some i didnt like just cos they were LFC shirts like the mad cream one in 96 and that.
I just wear them for football or the gym, or bin them if they are too old.
I have given away a few on holidays to bars, they go mad for them abroad.
Went to Malia after we won the champions league and gave the fella in our hotel me old white away shirt, he put it up right in the centre of the bar, he was made up  :D

LFC look awesome in all black.

I surprised they don't wear it more often. It looks intimidating.

I agree. There not needed. All you have to do is pick a colour, other than red. Its not rocket science is it? Just another way to rob the supporters.
