You drew attention to it to try and discredit me. Just because I don't post 20 times a day doesn't make my point or view any less valid.
I access this site more than twice a day & yeah I should post more, but I'm sure as a forum moderator you can call up my posts, I don't make flipant comments, don't goad people for the fun of it.
I try to make posts on things that are important to me, things that I think matter to our beloved club.

Get one thing straight, LFC and this forum are important to me and someone who contributes to this forum once in a blue moon but feels free to waltz in and accuse the forum and by default many of its members as being hypocritical will get no round of applause from me.

Yet again you ignore any valid points that I make to pick fault with my posting record.

Actually read what I wrote, I admitted that I don't post as much as I should but yet you still harp on about it.

Please, engage in some debate but you haven't said anything new in your last post just reiterating an old one like a mantra.

I never asked for a round of appaulse from you nor in fact did I accuse the forum of being hypocritical, it isn't the forum asking for a boycott of shirt sales.
Prove where I said that the forum was hypocritical. Members yes but the forum no
Nor did I question even slightly your passion for Liverpool football club, if you took any comments that I made as being directed at you personally then take a look again. I was talking about myself about my love for this club.

I didn't make my orginal post as a direct attack on any one member, I felt the subject was important and I tried to point out the futility of the boycott.

If you would answer me one question, how would your response to my post have differed if I was a elite member or did you see my post and jump on it because of my posting record only

Fair questions..

First off , your initial post on this matter

Has anyone else noticed the hypocrisy surrounding the boycott of the new home top on this site.

Take a look at the advert flashing at the top and bottom of the computer screen right now, so technically this site is in effect supporting the current owners.

Anyone who feels like the boycott is the right way to go, should obviously start a boycott of this site. As it is just a one big advert for the new top.

That's interpreted by me as a dig at members of this forum who despite championing a "don't buy the shirt" stance, choose to remain members of a forum which advertises the shirts, and subsequently a call by you for those people to consider boycotting this forum.

Secondly

If you would answer me one question, how would your response to my post have differed if I was a elite member or did you see my post and jump on it because of my posting record only

My response (i.e What hypocrisy ?) would not have differed, why should it ? .

Surely you can see from my first post that it was an attempt to point out the futility of the shirt boycott. A total boycott would be impossible, if a shirt boycott was to be taken serious all suppliers would be left without the revenue from the shirt sales, including the advertisers on this Forum.

So why would they continue to support this site if no liverpool tops were being purchased from there advertising, this could result in a loss of funding for the site, maybe leading to it being closed down.

I know thats a drastic case but quite plausible, its the perfect example of cutting of our noses to spite our face

First and foremost this site is dedicated to LFC. A forum for LFC supporters to discuss the club and everything about it. Now, although this site has a lot of members, not everyone is contibuting to it so the only other option is to look for sponsors, advertisers etc to help fund the site to keep it open. As far as advertising goes, I cannot think of anything better to advertise or would you prefer porn or (heaven forbid) chelsea or man utd shirts?

Besides, seeing as this is a forum there are people who are ready to boycott buying the shirt and those who see no sense in a boycott. How ironic? a forum of all places to advertise ! Go figure...

Boycotting is stupid. They're not going to care. They're just going to keep changing things until the supporters are satisfied, and it's going to be by merchandise. I don't think they understand that it's a shopping spree in the transfer market we want.

In all fairness, its the lack of changes that is aggravating many supporters. The stadium being the main thing. When it comes to transfers, like it or not they have put forward the money. What bothers most supporters, myself included, is that they are not including the costs involved and the potential to ruin this club. Of that we can all see but it is the other costs we dont see, this club makes money also, and we are spending it on players, which means we are not going to ruin. If that was the case, there would be no money, no mascherano, no torres. There is a power struggle going on between the two yanks, and DIC are thrown in now and again to complicate things. First and foremost, get one owner. Gillett or hicks, we wont like it but it makes things much more clearer.

Well either way, everyone is going to continue complaining. Even if they are almost completely satisfied, the nationality of the owners will be the complaint.

Not at all. Its the broken promises that are the problem. It does worry me however that if DIC do take charge they will take liberties but in not so much an obvious way. Its not down to where they are from, its down to word of mouth.

If we keep going the way we're going now, Manchester United will be the most successful English club. We could say that freely years ago, but by next year, Manchester can take away our 18 league titles.

Don't call me an idiot when you're the moron ranting about history that's soon to be a broken record.
